I heard rumors this week that they loved Quinn so I’ve done some research. He’s got good size, 6’0 and 175 (so probably fills out to 6’2” and 200), is the smoothest skater in the draft, possibly the best scorer in the draft and at RW is a desperate need for us. Read the athletic article on him, his story is ridiculously similar to Josh Allen’s, unwanted and always needing to prove himself. Time will tell, but if was definitely not a reach at 8. If you saw perfetti and Rossi as they were picked 9/10 they looked like babies compared to Quinn. On Beane we trust.....oh wait

There is no point. You are wrong. Matthews played in a men’s league and destroyed that league.

Quinn played in the CHL with peers and did not impress all that much. Played as an overage player and performed well.

I guess I'm stunned, but not surprised. It's not all that difficult for a first time GM to out smart themselves or a relatively inexperienced scouting directors to see things that may or may not be there.

That said, they have seen more of these prospects than I so I'll begrudgingly defer.

Cause he was essentially an overager this year and played on a stacked Ottawa 67’s dream.

I honestly hope I’m wrong, I really do. I’d be more then happy to be chirped for this for the next decade because the Sabres will be a good hockey team, I just can’t see how this guy is a top 10 pick I really don’t.
