Very much so, even Cole lost twice to them this year. Wonder if they go with Garcia over Happ, give the Rays a different look.

Hard to say, Tanaka is a loose cannon.

Right now, and while the TEs DO have drops, it's LB for me, as their weakness.
- Powerslave

Haven't heard anything on Milano yet, but I think a big space eater would help out. TE is a work in progress. And are Oline needs to get better especially in the run game.

You don't think they need another Center for at least this coming season and the next, or even long term (pending who they draft)?

Personally, I do not believe a Center core of Eichel, Staal, Cozens, and Lazar is enough for this coming season.

Your opinion is fine.
I disagree for this season, it will be ok...Cozens learns alot more playing the 3C to learn the NHL game...sure, starting at wing for 10 -15 games is fine, but ultimately he should play the bulk of games at C.

For 1 season of Strome at or about $4.5m ...but will that be his demand? Will that be his Arb Award? He produced at 0.84 ppg, albeit playing with the Bread man. His possession metrics don't look great for a 3C position..And what production will he drive from 3C?...35 pts like most if his career when he doesn't have a premiere player on his line? Cozens should be fine there for 1+ seasons.

I'd rather upgrade the RW position.....spend that money on Josh Anderson who can fly and work the boards for Staal and Skinner while puting up 40pts himself (if the shoulder is in fact fully healed).

3C becomes more of a need in 1+ years, assuming Cozens becomes reasonably proficient.

Can they do better?

I am putting Tanaka's last start on the wet ball, hard to control the pitches he throws with a wet ball, splitter and slider.

Fleury + 2nd for what exactly? What are they looking for?
- Powerslave

Maybe to just get rid of a $7m contract? IDK what else they could expect back...a 6th/ 7th?

Wild and Sharks are expected to announce a Ryan Donato trade within the hour; San Jose getting Donato for a third-round pick in '21.
Both teams also still working on a separate Devan Dubnyk deal which if completed would be announced later today.

Plenty of chatter around Buffalo lately, as the Sabres are actively trying to trade for a top-six scorer. Something to watch out for.

As is needed. If it goes through I hope he isn't a small, softer one to add to the current mild wings

@Powerslave
Wild planning on going with all wingers in 20-21, per GM Bill Guerin. "Hey, in 20 years they'll look back on my roster construction as a real 'game-changer', when I implemented the all-winged forward lines. Maybe we'll end next year with a big ol' fatty ZERO in the FO win/loss column, but this will just give our guys that much more time to get into position to defend. And defense wins championships." Not really sure what Wild face-off coach Zenon Konopka will actually do this upcoming season. More to come...

Think you mentioned this one first. But this was back when Jason was still around, if I remember right.

Schmaltz would probably not cost much to acquire. I don't really have the analytics in front of me.. but aren't we looking at a more center-ready Kahun?

Correct me if I'm wrong, he was traded from Chi to Ari in the D Strome trade correct? At the time, everyone thought Chi got fleeced.
