However, Rhino IS a good player, no matter where he was drafted.

He is less of a player on the 2nd or 3rd line and the Sabres are better with a better right wing on the top line. Team resuts are what is important.

Matt Milano news ....

He torn an upper peck / up shoulder area. He should be out 2-3 weeks. Bills are keeping it quiet for right now. So Beane is trying to trade for a linebacker.

He's the 7th highest point getter from this class per game. Did/do we all want more from him? absolutely. Is he more of a problem or a benefit to the team. It's not close, he's still a positive for the team. Both of those statements can be true you know.

Are we allowed to ask for more from Sam? Yes
Is Sam a successful 2nd overall pick? Objectively yes, considering the amount of busts that have come, historically.
Is Sam a top line player? Yes

While a player, no matter if it's Jack or Jake, can always be better. But when is a fan content?

I wouldn't necessarily disagree with this.

That doesn't mean he's not a good player, though. He is a nice fit with Jack.

Let's get this team another top 2 RW and see where we're at.

He failed at center in which the Sabres needed and still need Failure

He would be much lower in his manufactured stats without jack because he generates a lot less on his own. Failure

He was supposed to be cerebral, crebral players can usually play 200 ft games, he can't Failure

He can't PK because of his overblown cerebral skills and his slow skating Failure

Doesn't play the boards or the corners Failure

Who in the world is going to trade for a failure? No way he can be traded for any help as he is such a failure. Perhaps we should just let him go? Failures will be out of the league and do not need to be paid nor protected as no team will want a failure.

May God have mercy on Rhino's soul..........................

Not that I'm going to change your mind on this but his defensive game is solid

Solid is a bit of a reach. If you look at the SOG against with jack and without they jump

If the flyers are in the market for a RHD, offer Miller for Patrick

Not to mention a 6+ mil salary. Maybe all of what I posted is why Sam is irrelevant all around the league except on this message board? He is a total, whatever player but he is our whatever player, right?

Easy on 11 guys, Kerry and Tim have been reading along and tapped on 11's shoulder to do the Arb Negotiations.
He's just practicing outloud.

The Reinhart “debate” is example A on why using raw point totals to evaluate a player is the most flawed way to do it.

Reinhart’s points should be credited to Eichel, but when he’s not with Eichel those are his real points etc, etc.

This is not me taking a side just an observation

I dont care about the Reinhart debate one way or the other really, but considering our other organizational RW options include tall guy and concussion guy, I'd keep keep him in the fold

He’s a good player but it always comes down to term and price for his services.

I’m all for keeping him around long term as long as the money is right.

I think the Sabres would be a better team, if they kept Reinhart, with him on the 2nd line and an upgrade on the 1st line.

If the Sabres actually land Schmaltz, the I'd put him and Skinner with Jack...and put Olo and Sam with Staal.

However, I would much much prefer to trade with VGK's
Flurry & Tuch
for
Hutton &, Tage (add a 4th if necessary)

I know things changed since Botts had discussions with them, like Tu h playing very good in PO's...but so did the addition of Lehner as their srarter... dumping $11.5m in celery is worth a fair amount on its' own. Just gotta sell Tage as ready to take Tuch's place.

Without saying so, #Sabres GM Kevyn Adams appears to suggest Johan Larsson is hitting free agency.

Yeah, they need another center.

It is time for a blockbuster deal. Every GM does at least one, gets rid of the players they don't like and brings in ones they do.

No, you also have used pure speculation and bias in arguments. Like has been stated, he's solid defensively. Not Selke good, but more than serviceable. His biggest thing is clearly lack of footspeed. He's by no means fast. But somehow, he still seems to keep up. Is it possible he thinks the game (the cerebral thing that you say he doesn't have) one step ahead and is generally in the right spot. Like I've stated, he may not be the end all solution to the team, but he's hardly been holding the team back either.
