I think Sam is a great player, you just have to make the most of your assets.

Mittelstadt not panning out and Botts putting all his chips on to that table didn’t help either.

I wanted Draisatil, but I also wanted Mittelstadt.

As a trader you try to keep your losses small so in this case I would try to use Mittelstadt in a trade to salvage the asset and admit I was wrong and move on.

Just like how we turned Nylander into Joker and made out with a top 4 blue liner for the next several years

You don’t know that though. Sam got his 9 games and if he would stuck he woulda stuck. Drai is better. Not only that but during the 9 games, Drai coulda changed one or two of those games. Just saying the point of tanking always was McEichel. Sam was supposed to be good and hasn’t lived up to a 2nd billing. Don’t think anyone disagrees. Most people just say he’s a quality player and his only contribution isn’t being Eichel’s best friend.
