I do agree with 39, mostly, and I think Simmonds has a place in the league. I don't think it's a good fit with the Sabres, considering Okposo is here, and Okposo is statistically more effective. Apples to apples, think I'd rather have Okposo. Now, if the Leafs signed Simmonds for 750k and then said we'll trade you Simmonds for Okposo, I'd for certain do it.

To directly relate to your question, I think Simmonds would fit in really well with the Laffers. I'd say the same thing about the Sabres without Okposo.

The best thing for both is to LTIR him and give him a job at harbor center. Maybe Ellis’s old gig or even Adam’s old job. If Chicago can LTIR Hossa for jock itch, we can LTIR Okoposo for concussions and give him a harbor center job...
