I get that people really care about the farm system – and it's needed – but it's not the end-all be-all of a team. If they trade the first for a 24 year old #1 RHD, that guy is going to stay with the team for 6 plus years. The first round pick in the 20s likely isn't going to turn into a stud player like that.

Same with the kids in the farm system. You're adding them to a team with 3 young top 6 players, 1 young top pair D, and a young goalie. There are only so many spots open on a team. That's the core for the next 6+ years.

I agree trading a first just because isn't helpful, we need to have kids pushing for spots. However, packaging it for a young stud top pairing RHD that's going to be with the franchise core for its window is fine by me.

The core yes and cheap replacement players for the rest of the roster don't come from rounds 3-7 very often. You still need 17 other players.

I uninstalled the game when they kept pushing out 50 GB updates every couple of weeks. We still have data limits here, was a complete waste

lol just ribbing you man. I get that no 1st rd picks sucks but JTM and 3 PO rounds was worth it IMO. Team is moving forward. We aren't going to be picking in the top 10 for awhile so people need to get used to it.

Sucks if we let TT walk though. Would rather see marky go but it is what it is. Maybe the thought process is that we seemed to be just fine without TT vs Minny and STL...so maybe just moving on spend the cash somewhere else.

I don't think any team in the modern history of the NHL has iced a roster that was 100% their draft pics. If our players turn out (which isn't a sure thing, but possible), we would have drafted:

5 of our top 6 forwards
2 of our top 4 D
4 of our top 6 D
Starting goalie

With all those players being 26 and under (or so, depending on when they make the team relative to the others' ages.)

The rest of the roster can be filled out with trades, UFAs, and other draft pics or college signings. Losing one 1st round pick (in the 20s) to get a #1 RHD is a very small blip.

Yeah they aren't allowed to show the feed because they'll get copyright strikes and can't monetize the video of it afterwards. Honestly I don't see the difference, he talks through it enough you don't miss anything other than seeing a bunch of old white dudes sitting in boardrooms.

Based on what I’ve heard to this point? I think it’s much more likely they sign a FA winger (Toffoli/Dadonov) and take a run at Hall. I don’t get the sense the trade market is where the #NHLBruins will do anything of significance, barring anything unforeseen with OEL
