I agree 100% about trading 1st picks as long as you get quality and value for that pick. But I also like to think you can get those picks back by savvy trading. If you look at the trade history of a team like TB over the past 10 years, they have used their picks as trading chips but have done a great job replacing those lost picks.

Anyway, just hoping that Canuck management could do better turning assets into picks.
