i think teams have a sense on what hes asking and if they think that number works they might want to get him before a bidding war starts. sending a 5th might save them $1m/yr theoretically. who knows what the open market will do with him in a class of his own

That's also assuming Benning doesn't think Marky will sign/has given up on him. I think the Canucks are just waiting to hear back right now.

I think Lias Anderson will be a good player. Not sure what the situation was with NY, but I think that's a great trade by LA. I just read that his dad is a European scout for LA as well so it made sense. LA starting to accumulate some fantastic young talent IMO

I don't think we see many/any UFA signings by the Canucks this year (outside of Marky/TT potentials). Too many players, too much uncertainty, too little cap maneuvering happening. I think next year will be the year to really add.

i think so. he will come cheap and has some low risk bounce back potential. gaudette hasnt solidified himself yet and turris could be a short term shelter
