I like the pick, another LHD is a little bit of a head scratcher but I'm thinking this is just a BPA situation. |

Esa Lindell comparison. - Eldebrink
I know you're just quoting the "expert" so this isn't directed at you but Lindell is a shutdown guy and this guy is an offensive minded dman who has. issues defensively. I swear these comparisons are just based off of which position you play and what country you were born in,

I don't like Pronman, but here's his take:
Jurmo is one of the more polarizing prospects in this year’s draft. There are moments and games where he looks like a top-end player. He’s 6-foot-4 and a true high-end skater. When he’s on, he shows skill and offensive creativity, making plays all over the ice. He’s one of the best puck rushers in the draft and shows no fear to go end to end – something he does a lot of during games. I’ve seen flashes of great vision from him, I’ve also seen times where it seems like he gets tunnel vision and just wants to do it all himself, so I debated between a 55 and a 60 on his hockey sense. He’s also not great defensively, with iffy gaps and stick play, which isn’t ideal given he doesn’t put up big numbers. He can rub some scouts the wrong way with his approach to the game and coaches don’t lean on him, but in terms of pure tools he checks a lot of boxes. |

J.D. Burke
I'm honestly astounded by the fact that Joni Jurmo was even available to the #Canucks. Totally slipped my mind as an option because it was hard to imagine he'd be there.
I guess you have to root against the pick now - Nucker101
One of the guys on SN tv just said he had him at 45. Benning said 2 days ago they are not drafting for position . They will draft BPA . He said in the 5 th round they will draft for position |

If JD Burke likes this pick. What does that tell you. All you have to do is watch the Scouching video and you can see the guy skates like the wind. Never engages in any corner battles, rushes the puck up the ice to lose it a lot. Wave his stick at opponents and that's it.
"Made it a lot easier for players to go around him in the offensive zone" |

The scouting report on this guy reminds me a lot of Juolevi |

Scouching guy on Youtube, AKA the Big Bang Theory Extr likes the pick. I trust his opinion over guys like Pronman since he doesn't seem biased toward/against specific types of players |

If you haven't watched the scouting video, you need too.
Says in the video Jurmo actively avoided physical contract from time to time. |

from an amalgam of the analyses that you've posted, it seems that he could be a steal or will never play a game in the league.
i don't mind taking a gamble with the pick. going into the third round, you're going to get depth or get lucky. i'm not going to complain that they took a shot at a top 4 rather than fall back on a 7th or 8th type. |

Scoching seems like he thinks he's good value at this point despite the Juolevi-like defense. |

It's clear that Jimbo is all-in on puck moving dmen judging from his latest interview, he saw the conference finals/SCF and was convinced that he needs as many puck movers that he can get.

Guys this deep in the draft are taken as projects, for the most part, you look at their raw skills and then try to develop them. He’s obviously going to have a lot of holes in his game or he would’ve went in the first round. |

I assume he likes the pick at this point due to the size/skill/speed combo, if the kid's defensive game improves then he could be a NHL'er. Worth a shot in the 3rd. I assume he'd be more critical of the pick if it was the 2nd round. |

Exactly. Hopefully he becomes more physically involved as he fills out since he's a lanky kid. |

It's the third round, almost every kid picked is going to have holes in their game. Better to draft for upside (as so many here have said) rather than safety – though as I read that doesn't even satisfy the loudest |

I like his videos and the things he says during the video except when it comes too projections. Dude is weak. Rely's way too much analytics.
"He is raw with all capital letters"
"A lot of work needs to be done especially defensively"
"far too soft infront of the net"
"For someone with great mobility, he was way to reliant on dumping pucks"
This is 2 minutes into the video

So you base your analysis off of one video and in the same breath openly mock DCT.
Wow, pretty high opinions I would say. |
