It is a comment that if I answer will go on for 15 pages.

I am not a big Tanev fan. I do trust his D though. I just think it is an over payment

- VANTEL

wow, okay then

I know you like physical defensive dmen but I would not trust Schenn against top lines lol.

I'm okay with letting Tanev walk if he wants long-term.

I read a good article from Drance regarding the Canucks reaction to Toffoli not accepting their deal. Hopefully they feel the same about Marky.
- belcherbd

Benning doesn't have the money to give out otherwise he would. See a cap crunch is good, he can't overpay.

We'll see but I think Tanev is the most likely to sign a team friendly deal.
- belcherbd

Tanev and Stecher seem like the guys who want to be here the most, for whatever that's worth. I'd say Marky is 3rd on that list, then Toffoli.

Van doesn't have Hedman or McDonaugh.

I think his current situation has been a wake up call for him, in the past when he had bad contracts, it didn't hurt him too much because the cap kept going up and the team didn't have expectations. Now it's a flat cap and there's real pressure for the team to make the playoffs every year and not get their asses kicked in round one, he (hopefully) realizes how crippling those overpayments to role players can be.

If he does that is fine.

He reminds me of a guy that will keep your team comfortable. He wont bring scoring or toughness but he will provide good position.

I would rather have a tough guy on the bottom pairing and a aggressive Dman in the top part.

I would rather Schenn instead of Tanev

- VANTEL

I’d rather Schenn than Stecher, or Tanev at 2-3X $AAV. Thought he was a good pairing with QH.

Would rather Schenn than Stetcher for the money they'll be offering.

2X5.3 for Domi. Seems like he's saying I respect that you traded for me but as soon as I'm 27 I want my choice of where I play.

comfortable is a good word for him. i do fear that hes a crutch that will be overused as he slows down though and that maybe the team wouldnt pursue certain players because they believe hes still the same capability he once was

Problem is we need a safe guy to play with our aggressive guy on the top line. Hughes was fantastic this year but still has a long way to go to become a true #1. Tanev was a key to his success this year.

I also want some punishing players but I prefer them fore checking than playing chasing guys around the net.

Most of the silly Canuck rumors come from the local guys. If they saw something written on a bathroom wall, it would be on the air immediately as a source.

LOL, imagine not qualifying a player at his age and he is right shot.

Only Bloated has tried that. He then realized he is a 160 pound government worker and got 2nd degree burns from a cinnamon latte

Stetcher isn't worth his QO, even if we had more cap he wouldn't be worth a QO.

I think they're afraid of his arbitration number and not being allowed to walk way from it.

Those overpayments until last year were to get players to come to Van also though. They weren't good remember.

Just look now, players want to come to Van. JB just going to have to make some tougher decisions which he already didn't by not getting into the 2nd round.

He is worth half of his qualifying offer. I’d be pissed if they brought him back. Small, weak, muffin shot and average mobility. I don’t give a (frank) if he is from Richmond or Nigeria

I know one of the reasons I stand out is because of my opinion. 99% of the people complain against Beagle Roussel and Sutter but aside from me and Makita the coach on the Canucks chose to play those three ahead of Jake Gauds Zack . I think in the Vegas 5-1 loss Beagle was not on for a goal. Those guys kill penalties win draws and stir the pot . If Jake stirred the pot it would be an easy choice. If Gauds won faceoffs and was reliable defensively again another easy choice.

I agree they need to improve the bottom 6 but right now the answer is not JV Zack or Gauds
