It's not as fun when the refs offset the playing field.

For an orange Julius orphan, you are surprisingly well adjusted. Must be the video games?

2 kids and a puppy really put the words patience and understanding into perspective. Also, we live in Canada, on the great west coast, whats there truly to complain about?

nothing but love coming from this version of Codes moving forward. Even with Booner. Life is too short

I bet he's on a back up plan list at the very least. JB may have a few options that he's trying to work out first.
- boonerbuck

i think the market will be very slow. agents are probably advising players to be patient because there will be a pecking order more than any years previous

I was thinking something similar the other day. I would bet money that player agents have had informal meetings to figure out strategies moving forward. I'm not suggesting that they coordinated their strategies but moreso trying to figure out how the market will move and how best to maximize signings.

Myers has a decent shot and can at least flatten the odd guy. He ain’t perfect but brings more to the table (although agreed he is overpaid)
- CanuckDon

Does "Bring more to the table" another way of saying "Takes a F Load of penalties"

I didnt even know he played this playoffs. Be cause every time I looked a he was in the penalty box.

And look at that Tied for 2nd in the entire playoffs for minors taken.

I don't hide behind alts. Take my ban like a man and do the time. I don't take the beefs to other forums or social media. I don't attack family or go after unfortunate personal stuff I've learned about people. All that childish bullpoop is beneath me.

You mean that wasn't your Vental alt?

In a cap world it's all about value per dollar, yes those guys play a role that coaches love, but are there other options out there that can PK and be responsible defensively while providing more erngy and a stronger forecheck. Other teams have more affordable players playing those roles, Canucks arguably have one guy like that themselves in Motte.

The Canucks lack of speed up front and inability to move the puck out of their own end was badly exposed vs Vegas. The Vegas dmen having that extra second to make an outlet pass due to the slower Canuck forecheck compared to the Canucks dmen being absolutely hounded by the tenancies speedy Vegas forwards was like watching men vs boys. Demko was the only treason why some of those games weren't blowouts.

I can't speak for you or others, but I'm tired of watching the Canucks forecheck always being a step behind.

That was the system they were told to play, they took multiple hits while defending, collapsed as a 5 man unit, did not pressure the opponent defensively. When the did clear the puck it was a race to change lines. There was little offensive pressure, there were no offensive hits on the opponents to force a turn over.

This teams coaching systems suck, and it showed in spades...they relied on goaltending to stay in the game and get a lucky break on a looping puck tossed out.

Place some blame on the slowness of the player, place more blame on the system wearing down our team not the opponent.

yeah i think the player has a choice of maximizing dollars or opportunity. if youre not getting offers close to your expected on day 1 then waiting until november wont hurt (if money matters most)

How come Motte was able to forecheck effectively? Looser leash from the coach or an actually fast skater?

I know bro. Some ppl are total losers if going there while others make unfounded claims & then there are those who pile on. Suffice to say they have issues or in denial about their character flaws.

Planned on stopping by Quesnel but it was a long 15hr drive I was in the middle of a long drive after my last shift. Next time I’m passing through we’ll have a beer or few.

Cheers 🍺

I've been putting up with the family attacks from Marwood and friends for 3 years now. In fact, this comment will probably trigger some from the very people upset about some comments that may have or may not have happened about his wife. Ironic.

Makita immediately sympathizes with Marwood but when Marwood is the one doing it, the "need thicker skin" lecture would come at me. Or getting told to go to the forums so I can take it from a half dozen people. Nowhere was the comments about it being wrong... ever.

This place has serious double standards.

- boonerbuck

V.tel has gone after my kids, ex wife etc... I don't have beef with anyone else on here and I'm sorry you've on the receiving end of attacks. The fact that V. Was able to say some of the things that he said over the past couple without a long time out is gross to me so I'd be hesitant to suggest that Mak has double standards due to this fact alone.

Anyways, wait until the Civil War down south happens, then we'll see a poop show.

I'm really wondering if JB is trying to force Green to play with 6 left handed defenders in the future.

Can an organization get to a point where they desperately need to draft for need?

We are not quite fully loaded & ready to play much different imo. What we can do is counter & score well. Need a few more key players to really see what we can do. Starts on D.

nucks have now picked a euro and two college bound kids.

cant help but wonder if covid is impacting the draft strategy. either concerns over development leagues playing in canada or drafting players that dont need to be signed to elcs within 2 years before they get returned to the draft
