Where does Rathbone play if he doesnt make the Canucks and there is no AHL season? Sweden? Finland?

I doubt they lend him to the KHL. poopty league to develop prospects and bigger health risks. Does the NHL have the same agreements with the KHL as they do with SEL etc?

Canucks head scout on 650 saying Jarmo and Truscott were biggest fallers on their draft board that they didn’t think they’d get.

Also said they go pure BPA, position isn’t a factor

The KHL season will practically be over by the time the NHL season is starting. If any players were going to go there it would already have happened, AND, the KHL and NHL don’t have any formal transfer agreement.

It'll be interesting to see what these non-qualified RFAs sign for, and if the Canucks are able to pick one up on the cheap

It’s one of the reasons Podkolzin fell in the draft last year (had already signed a two year contract), and the big fella signed only a one year extension to stay.

Kahun not qualified either, another decent bottom 6'er.

This is probably a great year to be a top-heavy team with a little big of cap wiggle room and roster space. Can likely pickup some solid role players at affordable prices.

I like Kahun, seems strange, it's not like Buffalo can't afford him.

If the Canucks wouldn’t have taken him at #10 he probably would’ve went 25-31 as a project player

I don’t mind him, he was a Bracket pick so you know he’ll be good.

I had a 2:16pm tee time, who ended up winning the draft? Detroit, Ottawa, Los Angeles?

Bracket was very anti Podk. Part of the reason for the split
