PIT didn't really have too much leverage either. Market is flooded with goalies which is going to drive value down, money will be tight for everyone this year and, as Jan pointed out, they were going to lose one of them to the expansion draft next year anyway. But he definitely hasn't been great for the last two seasons either.

True, I would have expected a little more, but you make good points. Murrays numbers I think reflect an aging Pit team too with not the best defense. Give him a good defense and I think you see those numbers jump back up. Good move for Ott

Its an excellent move on their part. Theyre gonna be a pain in the ass to play against in a few years.

At least they don't still have Pageau!!

Yeah it's a pretty low-risk deal for them. They had like 59 second round picks and Gruden is probably a B-ish level prospect, at best.

Was Ott's 28 pick yours from the Pageau deal?

What did you think of the Greig pick? Who would have you liked if it was still yours?

I haven't paid any attention whatsoever to this years draft so I couldn't tell you

Once the Isles traded away their two most interesting picks I pretty much stopped caring

They're dumping money everywhere. Sent Bonino to MIN and now bought out Turris, who will be on their cap for the next 8 years lol

Yeah usually I'm all gung-ho about being a draft dork but this year I just couldn't get into it for whatever reason. I kept an eye on twitter while I was watching the Yankee game last night but after the first 10ish picks I started to not even know who the names of kids getting picked.

That would not have been good even with half retained.

If you can pronounce the Devils pick, you get a free turkey dinner

That would mean we effectively traded ryan spooner for a 2020 second rounder
