Ducks just got a 5th rounder for Gudbransson... - drummer829
Guddy actually had trade value in a cap strapped world?
If the Sens had 4 million in space to burn, they could have done better |

Hell yea it would be a bigger problem. We're talking a possible 30 goal right handed winger at a good cap hit that you would be very hard pressed to replace at the same cap hit. - 668710
Yeah.... don't trade good players who have good contracts. GM 101. |

His actual salary is only $3M, so Melnyk must have had some influence over that. |

Whatever GMJR does tomorrow, I sure as hell hope he discusses his plans with Sullivan.
Hard pass on Turris. Never was a fan. |

With how young they are he is a really good add for them. They are deep on LD but not so much on the right side. They will have him play to the deadline and ship him off half retained for a 3rd or even a 2nd if someone is strapped . |
See, JR likes a puck mover for one side and a more stay at home'ish for the other side. I dont see him going for someone like Barrie and I also see Barrie, a perennial 55/60 point right handed D man, wanting more than 4 per...and most likely getting it. Plus the whole cap space issue with the Pens.
In other news, is Domenic Terrone your real name? - [/quote
Hey, what does the name matter?
I think Barrie could be signed for about after the year he had. I like you don’t think JR will do it, but I would like him too.
Who said it matters? Just making convo, Dom.

Id like him but he is going to get a decent contract, not a cheap and short one like the Pens need. |

Sounds like a JR kind of move. Followed by sitting in the press box 'cause Sully doesn't like him. |

He was too much for what he brings, but I actually like Guds when he played here. He wasn’t without some bad nights, but I thought he was solid overall. |

We also had JJ to compare him too... Guds played at a 3rd pairing level. Overpriced for certain, but at least was not sinking the pairing. |

They have Murray now though. Unless they bring Fleury to back up Murray?!? 2021 and 2022 back to back cups for the Sens confirmed |

Lafferty signed for 2 years at 750,000. That helps save money. |

2 contracts left with 4 mil in space. They could definitely go for a solid 3rd liner at around 3 mil, and have the last spot filled during training camp |

Prior to this year, Gudas was actually a good possession player though despite his style. So I wouldn't compare him to JJ.
Someone else mentioned price, but I don't think he's getting a big deal right now. Excactly the type that gets squeezed after Washington didn't work as well as Philly. |

With all the buyouts and rfa’s not getting qualified I think there could be some good bargain hunting done. Lotsa teams with not much cap space to sign them all. I bet they take a quick 1 or 2 yr small deal to hopefully get past this flat cap which is all pitt needs for their timeline |
