2 seconds for an rfa isn't bad

I thank Toews for his service and at times can be a stud. I would have liked an actual player in return but 2 2nds isn’t terrible.

I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but Toews was borderline terrible in the playoffs. I can’t say I’m heartbroken that he’s gone. Plenty of d-men in the pipeline here.

Have to agree potvin. Toews struggled during these playoffs. Toews was far from an untouchable player.

No he made multiple glaring turnoves come around the net and a few lead directly to goals

Like the trade we got 2 2nd rd picks for a turnover machine and we can bring Greene in on a cheap 1 year deal. Sounds like Boychuck getting moved as well.

Probably cost us 1 of those 2nd rounders to move JB.

I don’t know why I can’t quote anyone, but I felt like I was calling him out like once a game the entire 2 months.

Like I said, at times he can look like an All-Star, but for the money he’s looking at, and his play in the playoffs I’m picking Pulock every day of the week and trusting Dobson. Hell even Aho looked pretty capable and that was 2 seasons ago. Plus guys like Wilde, Salo, Balduc in the system, I’m not too worked up about this.

Lamoriello said he had a "difficult conversation" with Devon Toews informing him of the trade. LL said Toews filing for arbitration and the unknown of how high an award could go spurred the move. "We did give up a good player," one the #Isles were not looking to move.

I love Twitter. Some of the comments are hilarious. You would think we traded Paul Coffey in his prime for a bag of pucks.

It sucks he’s gone but in the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a bad trade and we have his replacement already NHL ready. Sign Greene to a one-year contract. He is 9 years older than Toews and I can say with certainty that he had a much better playoffs than Toews.

All fan basis are moronic. When teams are doing interviews for a new gm they don’t encourage “knowledgeable fans” to apply.

Dobson is my boy I'm ready for fulltime ND lol
