Coming from a Pens fan I think Sheary is a solid middle six winger who could probably be had for close to league minimum at this point. He was overpaid when he signed his previous contract, which was in part due to the Stanley Cups and inflated numbers due to playing with Sid, but he was still useful as he could be used up and down the lineup without being a real liability. He may end up spending as much time on the ice as he does on his skates but he puts forth a ton of effort.
All in all you could certainly do worse, and I think it could be a good fit.

Agreed with all of the above, as it seems like Sheary is one of many free agent players almost getting squeezed out due to the pandemic.
I'd guess a 2 year deal at $2M per at most, or perhaps a one year deal at maybe $1.5M would be in the ballpark.
