Some people probably won’t love that Dubnyk was the addition in net but I don’t think you can knock the price they paid for him

If you just look at raw save percentage from the last few years of playing behind the Minnesota defense, Dubnyk's numbers don't look all that bad, at least through 2019. Start digging into shot quality, though, and most of the people who do NHL stats for a living seem to agree that he hasn't actually been any good in about five years.

Duby has put up great numbers for many seasons. This however, is not a defensive team, and his high danger shots are going to be his biggest test since his Edmonton days. I wish him the best, but I am not setting my expectations too high.

My god Ben you missed the biggest news of all. The signing of A. Melnichuk will be the best acquisition of all. He is lights out in the KHL as a 21 year old. He is the Sharks goalie of he future imo. Jones and Dubnyk are basically write offs and have seen better days.
