Carol Schram: Canucks prospects arriving, Jason King & Chris Higgins join coaching dept. The waters are still a bit muddy around the NHL's 2020-21 schedule for the all-Canadian North Division. But Canucks prospects are drifting into town ahead of training camp. And the club announced on Wednesday that Jason King has been hired as a new assistant coach, while Chris Higgins moves up to the role of Skills and Development Coach.

Covid update from World Juniors this morning has another player from Germany testing positive.

This is catastrophic news for any hope the Germans had of competing in the round-robin, given they’ll now be taking on Finland and Canada with a reduced lineup. As Bob McKenzie of TSN tweets, the team is expected to have just two goalies, five defensemen, and nine forwards available for those two games.
