Hains: Caufield Watch : USA vs Russia
Canadiens’ prized prospect Cole Caufield was stating his World Junior Championship tournament as the USA took on Russia on Christmas day.
I was a good game and hard to judge anything as Team USA spent so much time deep in a hole caused by sub standard goal tending.
However, if you are a hockey fan, especially the long history of the Canadien hockey tradition, you had to love the team game of the Russians. The Russians attacked in waves. In their red uniforms, I was reminded of the Canadiens from a previous era.
Larionov was quoted as previously saying that the best defense is have possession of the puck.
Maybe I am just starved for hockey. But I really enjoyed watching high quality of play.

More like Cole Slawfield. Not important at all. Not the main dish, or even the secondary side dish... just there... you have some if you're still hungry

I know the heel turn happened (we all knew it would at some point), but I just missed it.

One of the few things open in Quebec right now and even then. They are not supposed to sell anything outside of food or any other things judged to be essentials by the governments.
And the government doesn't think clothes are essentials.
But the state run liquor stores are. Same with the weed shops they run I think.

My friend bought a ps5 at a Walmart today. Asked why they're still allowed to and someone who worked there said nobody will check.
Also got an email from a store that sells sporting goods saying they're open as they've been deemed essential. One of the thing they sell are stuff for skiing, and remember Legault kept those open (because his kids ski).
(PS: The redcoat is played by Richard Harris' son, Jared, who performed brilliantly in the Chernobyl miniseries that came out a couple of years ago on HBO. I highly recommend seeing it if you haven't.)

I'm not surprised. This is a joke.
I'm sure mass medias will be on top of this and let us know. They're always doing such a great job.

I'm happy that business is still open actually, as they buy and sell used hockey equipment and sponsor local teams. They do a lot of good for the communities and I think another lockdown would have killed them. However, they're not staying open because of hockey equipment.
Journos don't care about investigating or asking tough questions anymore. They haven't been keeping our politicians accountable, they've been trying to keep the citizens accountable...

The thing is that they are closing small businesses that may die. They told us Wall marts and places like that would stay open, but to be fair, could only sell essentials.
The small players are hurting right now, while big corporations are making a huge profit.
This is bullpoop.
They can hide behind claims like they are only doing what the science are telling them to do, but this is pure bullpoop.
Legault himself did not respsect his own rules for Christmas (he had family over).
