Patrick passed his physical yesterday and thus is scheduled to practice today, this is a BIG first step!

Didn’t realize wisdom and Tanner were out. Sucks as I thought tanner would push for the 4c position.

The groups are interesting. One has more nhl talent on it.

I wish I had a dollar for every time a poster added qualifications of watching and playing hockey for a long time. As if that actually mattered. If the kids skating was as bad as you state that it is, he isn't in the WJC and he wouldn't have been drafted as high as he was.

Even if we conceded that BB's skating is god awful... then just how good must the rest of his game be that he made a deep USA U20 forward corps and got taken top-35 in one of the deeper NHL drafts in recent memory?

Either way you look at it, BB is a very very good NHL prospect.

Its one thing to be able to contribute at the college or even junior level. Its an entirely different thing to do so at the NHL level. But we can just keep going round and around about this, but in the end what does it matter? I stated my opinion about Brink based on what I see in his skating, and you and others disagree. I respect your opinions and I hope you all are right. I will stick by mine and we'll just see what happens. For right now though, I hope Brink scores 3 tonight and gets the US team into the finals.

Oh, and I am also still bullish on Foerster having a real chance to at least make the taxi-squad, again we'll see what happens.

scrimmage is 2-1, G tied it and TK scored the go ahead. They say Patrick is very noticeable.

The rest of his game is extremely good, otherwise we would not be playing on this team and contributing like he has the past few games. And Yes he is still a very good NHL prospect.

You're contradicting yourself. On one hand you state he's not going to be an NHL player and then you state that he is a very good NHL prospect. The two statements don't jive.

💯 People have to realize also that these are 18-19 year old kids that are going to take time to fully develop their games.

Yes I am aware of that characteristic of the NHL draft and yes you are correct that my opinion is very premature at this point. I have just been watching and playing hockey for a long time now, too long in fact :-), and I just couldn't believe my eyes when I watched this kid skate. Like I said, I hope I am wrong and he becomes a great pick for us, I really do. Because the kid has everything else you want to see, poise, IQ, vision, I guess that is why he has got as far as he has to this point.

If you think his skating looks bad now you should have seen it last year. The article I read last week said he spent 3 days a week for 12 weeks with a personal skating coach this off season. The results are supposed to be very positive and noticeable. So your opinion about his current skating is not shared by everyone. To my untrained eye I say he looks like an average skater to me.

I wonder what the deal is with what we saw in 4Q yesterday. Same management played Wentz throughout in a meaningless finale to 2016 season and won against Dallas.

If you want to see if Jalen is your guy, you don't yank him down by 6 with a quarter to go.

I wonder if it is Jalen who will be traded for going up a spot or 2 maybe with a sweetener (2nd/3rd) and Wentz stays, without looking over his shoulder, with a big stud WR. That fractured relationship will heal pretty quick.

Or Jalen stays, and Wentz goes, but they draft a qb and move up as high as they can.

Either way, the only way this tanking makes sense to me if if there is something big like that happening alongside. Because, lets face it, Sewell will be gone, they are not picking Parsons with a #6 pick given their aversion to LBs. I don't see them picking a TE that high with Goedert here.

I have seen Chase, Waddle and Smith interchange positions in drafts. Ditto for Caleb and Surtain. Meaning its unlikely Eagles tank to get a specific one of these.

I am sure you are sure, dawg. But you know something? You are not as sure as I am sure that Flyers won SC in 2010. Leighton was bribed by Bettman. He had an extra puck in his equipment that he dropped behind him into the goal after he harmless snagged Kaner's lame ass shot.

See it 100 times, and you will spot the leger-(frank)ing-demain.
