There is absolutely nothing wrong with what Trump did. He is correct about it. Whether you're a democrat or republican, love Trump or hate him. What happened in this past election is a direct attack on democracy. It is a fraudulent election.
As far as the Hunter Biden allegations. Tony Bobulinski, who was a business partner with Hunter Biden has all the evidence. Audio of phone calls. Documentation of emails generated by the Bidens. Did CNN or MSNBC cover that? Of course not. They completely buried it.
Did CNN or MSNBC issue corrections on everything they had wrong in the Russian collusion case? Of course not. They never will. - MJL
Well we’ll all remember to never accuse you of being a patriot in the future if that’s what you believe.

What facts am I not accepting? The evidence of fraud is overwhelming. As an American and if you consider yourself a patriot, you should be extremely troubled and concerned about it. If you're not then I won't speak for others but I'll never accuse you of being a patriot. |

This is a perfect example of seeing what you want to see. You had a bias against the player before the tournament even started. You're also routinely pessimistic. The same thing was said about Luc Robitaille and countless other good players. Professional talent evaluators disagree with you. - MJL
This is not fair at all. I never said anything about Brink before the tournament started because honestly, other than highlights I never watched him play live. I have watched every game so far and this is just my observation. As I have stated I hope I am wrong, but I have seen enough of these types of players in the past and though he DOES have heart and a good IQ, it takes much more than that to make it at the NHL level. He can get by now but you look at his skating and its just atrocious. You seem to be someone that knows his stuff about hockey; can you honestly say in your heart that this kid can make it in the NHL with the way that he is currently skating?
Also, you say I am pessimistic yet you conveniently leave out the other half of my post where I am very bullish on Foerster making the team right out of camp. hat seems pretty disingenuous on your part! I just say what I think. Its true that sometimes I am pessimistic but I try to be honest. For example my take on Patrick, in my heart I really want the kid to make it and be the gold standard for that draft, but I have seen his type of injury too much now so that I know better. Again, I will be very, very happy if I am wrong. I want the Flyers to win more than anyone, and I am not even from Philly. But when I see things like putting Morin at forward, or counting on Patrick to play an entire season and double his goal production, or Brink will somehow make the NHL with the way he skates, I just have to state my opinion. |

His skating has improved and prob will continue too. This is an area that players can improve on easier than others.
I don’t feel he has been out of place and keeps up with the pace just fine. Interesting that you think Tyson will do better even though brink is the better skater. What you can’t teach is his drive, attitude, those hands and fearlessness. All the wheels in the world do nothing without other abilities. ( nodl). Not saying speed isn’t important. Just the kid has time to improve more. - Peter Richards
Foerster is a much better skater than Brink from what I see, in fact I don't think its even close.

Not my country or my president. Pointing out that the spin on both sides of the spectrum exist. I had a lot more faith in CNN when Obama was president....to me they lost some credibility as a news organization by going 24-7 negative on Trump....was some deserved ? Of course. Just observations. I don’t think this story reflects positively on Trump, but when it’s coming from a left media outlet it kinda loses its seriousness, when it’s just another Trump evil deed. Are both equivalent as far as seriousness ? At this point who knows. It depends who you ask and probably who they voted for. - landros 2
Certain institutions have certain innate biases. Most military men are conservative. Most Chambers of Commerce members are Republicans. Most white men who play sports skew conservative. Most members of academia are liberal. Ditto with Press. In general, as a very rough rule of thumb, the more abstract/cerebral/intellectual the profession is, the more liberal it will get. The more action oriented it is, the more conservative.
It is sad having an ideological perspective and letting it affect your impartiality. But that is part of the noise of life. It should be addressed, of course, but it is not something to get worked up about, not should it be used to equate such biases with far more extreme situations, such as Trump calling an administrative official and essentially doing a shakedown.

Not a conspiracy when it’s done out in the open.
I guess in today’s world actual curiosity from reporters is dead.
Like Trump or not he is a threat to the status quo and if your ok with the status quo then enough said. |

Courts, like the PA Supreme court who ruled that the state could violate their own laws? Ever hear of separation of powers?

Actually it's extremely fair based on your posts. You made posts about Brink before the tournament started. If what you state is true about Brink, he wouldn't have been a first round pick and a highly regarded prospect.
I have never seen Brink play a single second. I don't invest time in prospects.
Also, you say I am pessimistic yet you conveniently leave out the other half of my post where I am very bullish on Foerster making the team right out of camp. hat seems pretty disingenuous on your part! One optimistic viewpoint doesn't change the overall outlook that you have. The majority of your posts have been pessimistic in nature.

There is as much evidence of voter fraud as there is of the moon being made of blue cheese, and quite apart from the common sense absurdity of bringing about such a conspiracy, the courts have said so overwhelmingly, including many Trump appointees. Its over 60 cases now.
https://en.wikipedia.org/...tes_presidential_election
Much more relevantly, this is a prelude to setting the stage for minority voter suppression in 2024. That is the real objective.
It is useful to keep in mind what that end goal is. |

The amount of fraud is overwhelming. Over a 100 affidavits under oath. In PA alone, a truck driver under oath said he picked up a truck full of 24 pallets of ballots in NY state and delivered them to PA. A violation of the law. Mail in ballots are tracked. When a voter requested a ballot, when is mailed to a voter and when it is received and then finally when it is counted. In PA alone, over 700K mail in ballots were counted that were never requested by a voter. How many thousands of ballots were counted after the close of polls in PA? I could go on for days.
Your comment of this being a prelude for minority voter suppression in 2024 is asinine and absurd. Trump grew the party and the minority vote for republicans.

Honestly, MJL has lost his intellectual self-respect years and years ago re: such matters. Its no longer about issues or debate. Its just about seeking the paltry recognition of being worthy of engagement, no matter how low the resultant spectacle is.
To debate him is to get baited into getting into a conversation with a vagrant.
Just ignore him. Would you stop using the subway because some dude in the concourse keeps hollering at you? |

It’s not a good look from what I’m reading....when it come to the president of the US I actually try to look at the good they do...be it democratic or republican...going back I liked Clinton, liked Bush Jr., really like Obama and liked some of what Trump has done. The divide has grown over the last 4 administrations so much so that it sometimes appears not a lot gets done, because ever thing is so political...god forbid the other side has a good idea. I am hopeful Biden will do a good job....I’m hopeful to once again turn on CNN and watch some positives....is that to much to ask? I hope not. |

That you would think that any ounce of my self respect is tied into your opinion of me, is just further proof of how delusional and uninformed you are. You won't debate me because you only debate those who agree with you or that you think you can bully intellectually. Those you can't, you just make comments like this to another party because you don't have the balls to directly confront someone who is smarter than you are. |

There will be wheeling and dealing and ideological biases and scandals and this and that. That kinda stuff will always go on, sadly, and you have to internalize some of it, else you will end up as a monk with the Dalai Lama.
But there has never been a leader like Trump post WW2 in any western democracy. The closest would be Berloscuni but Trump has surpassed him handsomely.

Btw, read Financial Times especially. Read the Economist. Read BBC. Globe and Mail is pretty good as is Times of London.
Overlook the opinions of WSJ, NYT, WAPo, Guardian and read the coverage.
