So Adam and Alex DO NOT have Covid (I assume they have been tested), is this the team's or the league's decision who is on it? How does the union allow this to happen, especially when it is not health or play driven? Anyone else find this very odd? |

Everyday I seem to find things that I say are very odd.
I will add this to the list............, but yes, it is odd. Just broke some kind of protocol thing???
I would say like with the Toews situation, there is more to the story that you aren't being told.

Doesn't NBA and NFL FOLLOW same protocol? I want to include MLB as welll. Cannot speak to soccer or women's pro sports since I do not follow them. |

Well, seems like a long way to go to get your way, but Covid has ensured that the Preds won't have to deal with any horrible Hawk fans this evening.
Hoping they keep Kurashev, Strome and Kubes together and I'll go Kubalik with the 1st.
Think it was Ty that suggested moving Hagel up with Kane and Suter. Him or Shaw might work there. |

We don’t know whether they’ve been infected or not.
The league does contact tracing - some possibilities are actual infection, or the league’s contact tracing showed that they had contact with an infected person or persons and are putting them in q in case they have “caught” it so they don’t infect others (perhaps you’d rather have a Dallas or Carolina situation here), or they broke contact rules and are being punished (the Washington situation)....
Unlike some, the PA seems to understand the nature and danger of this and is working with the league (a novel approach I know) to keep players safe. |

These will be interesting games for sure. The Hawks got smoked by one of the top talents in the team and in turn smoked one of the bottom talents. How will they do against a middle of the road team like Nashville? The little Darth on my left should expects a 5-2 loss while the little Darth on my right shoulder expects a 3-2 win. I’m conflicted.
As for who draws-in for DeBrincat and Boqvist? I think Wallmark plays again and the Hawks give Kalynuk a shot to see what he can do. |

So, of course, Pirri does nothing for any of us as a player, but I do love his explanation for wearing #73:
Brandon Pirri, 73: Quoting Sheldon Cooper, 73 is the 21st prime number. Its mirror, 37, is the 12th, and its mirror, 21, is the product of multiplying seven and three … and in binary, 73 is a palindrome, 1001001, which backwards is 1001001. |

The players are safe. If you want to say the players and league are doing their part to prevent spread to those who may be at some risk, that's one thing. Suggesting that there is real danger to the players is fear porn. There is far more danger to their health from CTE than Covid. |

Yes, and in past seasons it was always reported when a flu went through the locker room. There was never any consideration for health and safety (of the virus infecting other players) then.

How do you know? Sounds like the league won't report if they do or don't. Looks like they'll miss at least 7 days

I read it the same way. It is undisclosed whether they tested positive. Seems like the protocol is the same for a positive test or exposure to a known Covid victim, so there's no real need for us to know. |

Actually if they are following the rules of northwestern, they'll be away from the team for 10 days if neither tests positive, and to get back to hockey you have to get 3 negative tests in a row |

And if they are out longer than 10 days i imagine those are the players that have it. |

I just realized that this will break El Gato's iron man streak at 240 consecutive games played.
He has been in every game since he came into the league. |

But if they were exposed, wouldn't the entire team then be in quarantine, since they have been around all the players?

Depends when and where. If it was Sunday night, after the game, and they hadn’t reconnected with the team, then they’d be the only contacts. |

Seems that way to me, but I see very limited implementation of logic regarding this illness.
But here's an attempt at an answer.... There is team-wide quarantine going on, such as Carolina or Dallas, if there is concern that other players were exposed to teammates with the germ; at least until everyone is tested again after four days without exposure.
But I don't know why one positive doesn't shut down the team. Not that I think it should.... |

Also i believe they are doing temperature checks, maybe he or Adam have a fever, it could be a simple as that. |
