Its almost like hubie is refusing to shoot. Nothing more evident then when he was right down broadway last night annd elected to do a fancy no look unsuccessful pass to horny. One of those plays that looks good when it works but when it doesnt it brings up all kinds of questions. Someone has to shoot! Bob looked good enough last night those goals were not his fault last night as you said. Far too many penalties, thank god it was only detroit. Would have been devastating to pull that crap against dallas

I think it was a good win. I'll take it.

Most notably, I think Bob was near spectacular. He made a couple of point-blank saves and that toe stopper with 3 minutes left in the third saved the game. It looked like he was seeing the puck well.

Heponiemi had quite a game--NHL debut and overtime winning goal. He obviously won Q's trust. This wasn't just a rookie, playing in OT, this was his first NHL game.

You are right about Huberdeau. He doesn't quite seem to be up to NHL speed or on the same page as his linemates. I'm not worried, it'll click soon enough if he doesn't allow himself to get frustrated.

Yandle had another classic Yandle performance. Scored a key goal at a key time, then gave up two completely useless tripping penalties back to back. He's on or close to a PPG (penalty per game) pace.

I'm loving Duclair's speed and ability to single-handedly cycle the puck around the O-zone. It's impressive when he gets the opponents chasing him around and leaving other Panthers open. He was a terrific signing and a real impact player.

Hornqvist is another great signing. He's wreaking havoc in the blue paint; something the Panthers have been desperately missing for years. His presence caused DeKeyser to score the own-goal last night, credited to Barkov from behind the net.

Panthers still need to work on pass accuracy, clearing the zone, and Bob's rebound control. But I'll gladly take the 2 points and look forward to tonight's rematch.

Go Panthers!

Hubie always seems to get off to a slow start. I think he’ll start to look better as they play more. I would like to see him dishing to Tippett, that kid can really shoot the puck.

Forced to barely take the win again... 3+ minutes with the goalie pulled couldnt hit the cage. The even had dukey out there to get the empty netter. I do like watching driedger. That guy is always so calm

In a weird way, I'm satisfied with this game in that the Wings are hanging in there physicality and intensity-wise against a heavy, aggressive team.

El gatos being described as “heavy” and “aggressive”.... imagine that

I think ive figured out duclair... his hands arent great and his feet are too fast for his hands several times tonight he pulled away only to have the puck scoot away on him
