Forget about Kuemper. Why not aim higher. Anaheim sucks. Maybe send a back-up goalie and some B-level assets for Gibson. Pass it on and maybe it becomes a story tomorrow. Or maybe Sorokin is frustrated that he hasn't become #1 yet and his bid for the Calder and Vezina this year is stalled. Whoever adds him becomes an instant contender. Vasilevsky would be nice but he's probably untouchable. Young Casey DeSmith is another option. |

Gibson deserves to play for a contender, years are going by and the Ducks are years away. |

I like how we already have intricate details of the trade offers on the table. Including this random tidbit about Detroit moving Gagner to NYR or Columbus. What does Detroit moving Gagner's $850K cap hit to another team have to do with the Oilers clearing cap space? Unless you think Gagner still plays for the Oilers. Confusing.
Also, why exactly does Colorado need Kuemper? Grubauer and Francouz was one of the best duos in the NHL last year. During the playoffs, Grubauer went 5-0-1 with a 1.87 GAA and .922 SV%. Unfortunately he got hurt. Francouz came in and also got hurt. If they stayed healthy they likely would have won the Cup, or came very close. But you want them to acquire Kuemper, despite Colorado having $0 cap space. Okay. - Kooleus
He is so out to lunch that he still thinks Gagner plays for Edmonton. You can tell these guys never actually watch hockey.

Hey Ek. Is Sam Gagner playing for both Detroit and Edmonton? Like the time you said Steve Yzerman is currently the GM of Detroit and Tampa Bay?
So Gagner must play a few games for Detroit. Fly to Edmonton. Then quarantine himself for 2 weeks. Play a few games for the Oilers. Fly back to Detroit. Quarantine himself for another 2 weeks. Just travel back and forth?
I wonder what doghockey or Dewey18 (Ek alts) think? |

Young Casey DeSmith will never be a young Richard Park. |

Sam Gagner is cousins with Ryan Sittler who time-travelled from 1998 to 1996 with the Charlotte Checkers to play the final game ever versus the Nashville Knights. Sittler taught Gagner to time travel, so playing for Detroit and Edmonton at the same time is no problem. |

Ryan Sittler went even further back in time to the night his dad Darryl scored 10 points. A couple of those goals were actually scored by Ryan but nobody noticed. I remember this vividly because I was there and caught a T-shirt. I sat beside David Poile and spilled mustard on his running shoes. |

Kuemper sweeps?
Is this going to be like the past Marner Offer sheet sweeps you promised? Or the Perron sweeps? Pouliot sweeps? Tanguay sweeps? Schultz sweeps? Exciting! - TurdFergeson

Was Ek in net?
Because it would explain how Sittler got 10 points. |

No, no, no, you have it all wrong. Remember when Ek told us about those double headers in the summer? Gagner is a special taxi player for the Wings and Oilers. He plays one game for the Wings, and then he immediately flies to Canada to play for the Oil. They no longer have host city bubbles, Gagner IS the bubble. He wears a special suit, like the Michelin Man. |

Maybe Gagner is a doubleheaders player? Will he be the captain of the next Expansion team in Toronto? A young Ryan Sittler can be GM and run around the ACC in 2012. Doug Ford has more mustard on his tie than most countries have in their warehouses. |

Ek once watched an AVS game in 2001 when they beat NJ to win the Cup. It was very special. Ek was turned down by Bob Denver and his sister was turned down by Ray Bourque. Mission E16W |

Gagner took David Poile's time machine back to 1991. He'll be playing with his dad (Dave) tonight in the SCF vs Mario and the Pens. That damn Ryan Sittler keeps appearing no matter which year it is. He's the Mustard Tiger. Sittler went on to become a big star in Trailer Park Boys and renamed himself Philadelphia Collins. He was last seen screaming Baaaaaaaasaaaammmmm!!!!!

But that was one of the dozen Cup celebrations that Ek was on the ice for. Sakic passed Ek the cup for a lap around the arena. |
