Dude, the Texans will be lucky to get that for D. Watson and he's 25 years old.

Edit: https://www.inquisitr.com...ll-wilson-deshaun-watson/

That's a funny trade idea.

Watson is great, more potential, but what has he actually done? Hasn't won poop. People pay for in-their-prime SB winning QBs, and that's Wilson.

I think they both would fetch a huge haul, and from everything I've read 3 1sts is the general price for Wilson (or 2 1sts, picks, and a couple players).

But, to be honest, with how much dead $$ the Seahawks would have by trading Wilson, it's hiiiighly unlikely he goes anywhere.

According to Spotrac, if the Seahawks trade Wilson after June 1 this year, they'll save $19 million towards this year's cap, but will carry $13 million in dead money this year, and $26 million in dead money next year.

Do it.

Seattle Seahawks would receive Garoppolo, Bosa, and the 23rd and 22nd picks in the upcoming draft

- VanHockeyGuy

I could legit see a RW trade to the Jets for 2nd overall, Darnold and a their 2nd this year and maybe next.

Draft Sewell or trade down and add another 1st.

Three things that piss me off;

a) Jim Benning

b) Russell Wilson

c) Lord H

Wilson won a SB with Beast Mode and the legion of Boom. That's more help than most QB's get in order to win a Super Bowl. They'd probably have a 2nd SB had they run instead of passed.

There is without a doubt that Watson carries more value to a franchise moving forward. He's the best young QB in the NFL not named Pat Mahomes. Check out D. Watson did last year with half a season of Will Fuller at WR.

They also had a decent O-Line then, that's the first thing they have to fix this offseason regardless if they keep RW or not.

I agree. A good O-line improves not only the O but the D as it allows them more time on the sideline and usually a lead.

Schneider has made a few bonehead picks like Rashad Penny....and lately it seems they miss out on some players by trading down and getting little to show for it.

1 in the top 100.

They might be able to find a C or G with pick 56. Maybe someone like Trey Smith, Landon Richarderson or Creed Humphrey is there at that pick.

I know you don’t believe that. The last time we saw any positivity out of our group on here was last season’s playoff thingy. And as we all came to discover, that success was an anomaly and not a true reflection of this team’s overall skill or depth.

With 50+ years of mediocrity and a few riots along the way, nobody will be planning parades until Finn is literally carrying the cup up Robson St.

Does the mean Finn is being traded to a contender? Or will he have just been so fed up he steals it for us?

The thing is that they weren't even necessarily a playoff team last year but they got some pretty outstanding goaltending when it mattered. They also had a really good partner for QH and he was more effective because of it.

There might be a few that are surprised with where we sit in the standings but all of this dead weight we've added for term over the past several seasons is catching up with us. It's all good though, we're compliant.

I think the Canucks were what they were last regular season (bubble team), and then over-achieved in the playoffs. This year, they've definitely under-achieved, for the litany of reasons we keep recycling through.

I expect next season will be a step in a better direction, and in two years they'll actually be able to make waves.*

Lemmings I know.

Didn't you call us dominant over the past 9 games a couple of days ago? We have what 2 wins to show for it? Good teams find a way to win, not lose.

I'm trying to figure out why you love Benning so much? I mean you don't seem to love Boeser or QH that much. Petterson is another Swede.

What's the big deal with moving on from a GM after 7 seasons of mostly failure?

The part that pisses me off is that Schmidt was brought in the replace Tanev(still think he is a better overall defenseman, not quite as good defensively but brings more offense and can help alleviate some need to always be defending like we are with Tanev) and he has not played with QH once. If you replace QH's partner with someone, shouldn't you play them together?

I agree with your assessment of the team......pending new management. I really don't expect Benning to go though because I don't think FA wants to spend more money. However, he might not have a choice.

I really believe QH needs a stay at home defenseman with him. I mean if nothing else they should have played together by now just because nothing else is working but I've been a TG detractor for awhile so I don't think much of it.

We gave up a 3rd round pick for an extra year of Schmidt at 1.5 M more per season. I think we could have had Tanev for less than what you guys did or at least shorter term. I mean they both have modified NTC's.

For those very reasons I don't mind signing Holtby over Markstrom, but Marky had been the team's MVP for 2 seasons so a regression in net was expected if you couldn't sign him. We don't have the cap space to give Marky a shorter deal because of the aforementioned deadweight contracts.
