I really like Quinn Hughes, and think he is a fantastic player, but I wouldn't even take 5 seconds to decide to trade him straight up for Dahlin. - Codes1087
Yup. |

Sounds like Dahlin and Eichel are calling out their teammates. Just seen a couple tweets on another site where Dahlin has said, make a hit, have a fight do something.
I like him more than I already did. That is leadership.

BIG game tonight. Jets 7-3, Canucks 2-6-2 in past 10. This game is ripe for an upset. I’m betting big on a win!
3-1 Canucks in a gritty win, Sutter and Gaudette, Beagle into the empty cage. Myers with 2 helpers. |

I'd find it hilarious if they insisted on taking Eichel in a Dahlin deal. |

Eichel is still a really good hockey player, he's just overpaid. He's still only 24 years old and he's PPG plus the past two seasons. I think there's a good chance his contract is a bit of a bargain in 4-5 years.
We'd be deep as hell down the middle moving forward with him on our team. I mean he basically earns what we're paying LE and Beagle. |

Eichel (2 mil retained) + Dahlin for... this year's 1st (unprotected), next years 2nd, Rathbone, JV, JTM, Tryamkin, Lind.. uh.. who else?
That' be a huge culture reset if they wanted to trade those two in a package. What would they even want to do? Rebuild? Or just get comparable players/ages? |

Poor Dahlin, we want the guy to get traded from one poopshow in Buffalo, to the poopshow in Vancouver.
He is doomed. |

They're getting Hughes in the deal, or Petey. There's just no way they make a deal without one or both of those pieces. Personally I'd look at Hughes, Miller, and Schmidt type of deal. Build around that. |

You could easily make a case for Eichel being our best forward and Dahlin being our best Dman.....for the next 10 years. You're going to have to give to get, but you're talking on money so you need to ship some moving forward. |

I don’t know. You can make an argument that Eichel is a negative asset given his contract. Stay away. |
