We've blamed FA for drafting JV we might as well just blame him for the extension as well. I'll need 2 people to second this opinion then we can just move forward and casually blame ownership. - golfingsince

I wanted to trade for Domi when he was traded for Galchenyuk. Have read since he's pretty whiny and the 3 teams in 4 years attests to that. - NewYorkNuck
If somehow Domi was available I'd be game to go after him. Since they just did the Anderson trade I'm not sure how much they'll want to ship him out though...
JV + Gaudette? JV + Sutter + depth prospect?
Domi isn't working out for them too much at center so far, and PLD was traded, so thinking they'd want center depth back.

My understanding is that Domi really wants to play in the middle. Slide Bo down? Give him more D starts and promote some youth where necessary? Make a Beagle/Sutter/ ? fourth line.
I'm okay with that as long as Domi is flexible enough to move to the wing, maybe PP or when we're trailing type of deal. Clearly I want the guy better in our zone playing in the middle. The other intrigue is switching on the fly if they're both open to real coaching.

I don't think Columbus wants Jake Sutter and Gaudette.

Ya from what I've read Domi wants to play C – which I'm not sure how great he is at C. He's been playing all three positions in Columbus, so I think he's open to whatever.
But if you had Petey – Bo - Domi down the center, that's pretty good. Canucks have better wingers in the system than centers, so it helps set that for a few years. Then if you flip Miller for a stud D man..

Clearly not all three of them, it was either or trade. I have no idea what that team needs or wants, I even highly doubt they're looking to trade Domi right now. I'm just spitballing because there's nothing else to look forward to as a Canucks fan right now

I think it is an Either nor .
I read that this upcoming free agency will be very quiet and trading will not be a lot.
I read earlier today that Fla have been trying to trade Connolly for weeks . They will probably have to retain salary .
Jake who has a decent cap hit is hard to move just because teams next year don't want to spend actual dollars. That and he isn't that good.
I expect Jake as a buyout TBH. In fact if he is untradeable I would look at putting him on waivers or ride him out for the extra year and try to trade him next year at TDL.

frustrating. I was hoping he would have been traded, particularly after it was so clear in the “thingy” last summer that he needs a change of scenery.
FWIW, capfriendly shows he has a $500K buyout cost for both years in his deal, a $50K cap hit for this season, and a $500K cap hit next year, if bought out.
