frustrating. I was hoping he would have been traded, particularly after it was so clear in the “thingy” last summer that he needs a change of scenery.
FWIW, capfriendly shows he has a $500K buyout cost for both years in his deal, a $50K cap hit for this season, and a $500K cap hit next year, if bought out. - SlightlyOffside
He was under 25 so it is cheap to buy him out . - VANTEL
NHL should have had some foresight in building a buffer after Trade Deadline for players who have to quarantine. It will change a lot of decisions April 12, particularly for contenders.

It would have been a good idea but I think when they made the schedule they were trying to cram 56 games in before June 21 for the Olympics. Might not be an issue now.
Yes, seeing that is a bit sad that he's just a ghost of himself now.. I think that version is gone for a number of reasons: he's playing against younger/smaller guys there than the NHL, he's usually out of position to make big hits and that doesn't fly as much in the NHL, he got neutered a bit by coaching/that suspension, he doesn't want to put in the effort to make those plays. - NewYorkNuck
You can see what the Nucks liked about him, hits like a truck.

You’ve never seen a turf war like east coast v west coast burger chains. Back in ‘07 the infamous BIG McShake was in Vegas partying with his homies when rival Angry InNOuty gang members gunned him down in cold blood outside the Bellagio. The photos were gruesome. Ketchup and mustard smeared all over the pavement. Bits of onion plastering the columns and a lone slice of pickle stuck to the inside of the window of the limousine.
