TBH now that Filppula and Nielsen are out of the lineup I don't think any Detroit regulars are trash cans. We don't have anyone on the ice tonight nearly as bad as Abdelkader, Ericsson, Daley, Nielsen were last year.

I think Yzerman has more or less solved the problem of there being too many players at the bottom of the depth chart without NHL-level skills. The problem now is finding more players who are actually legitimately good.

i would trade glenny. his value might never be higheer then it is now and hes turning 32 in a month. so when the team is actually good he will be a declining player. should get assets for him now.

Namestnikov and Gagner are extremely underrated imo. A couple more of those and offensively competent lineup.

Ras is nothing more than a bottom 6. Cholo, smith, and Svech are nothing more than fringe NHLers.

Blashill will be gone after this season. Young guys will get opportunities after rentals are moved.

Smith may get a role as an enforcer /4th liner
Sveth may go as high as 3rd line...but will be replaced as soon as the younger prospects mature. He'll only get a 2-way contract at years end for 1or 2 yrs

Glenny may garner a 3rd, I hope. I would not mind if he comes back next yr for $1.25M

I agree! Was trying to make a funny. He’s much improved with decent line mates.
