Good news and bad news
Good: Giroux, Voracek and Patrick are clicking
Bad: We’re playing a team of telepaths. |

Could you be any more biased? Sheesh.
Jensen had a step (or two) on Ghost, Ghost caught up and did his best to buy time for some help to arrive. Elliott just got smoked.
But Ekholm would have skated back at the speed of light, thrown Jensen into the upper deck, then ripped a slapshot from his own red line and punched a hole right through Samsonov, right? - Tomahawk
A goalie should not be one on one with a shooter. “Jensen had a step on Ghost”. Aka Ghost was out of position. He is a defenseman, he should try playing defense. |

Ghost plays D one on one in space like he is a forward. Just completely unsure of himself, doesn't know what to do and so on. - PT21
Ghost is the second worst defenseman defensively on this team. The worst? The other Ghost. |

Flyers stand still on defense. No urgency on the puck defensively. One team is controlling the center of the ice and around their net and one team is not. |

All true.
And yet somehow I’m noticing that JvR is still somehow playing his best two way hockey I’ve ever seen him play as a Flyer. |

Gostisbehere wasn't out of position. Flyers were running a set play on the offensive zone draw with Gostisbehere over at the far boards.

Just Braun trying to roll the puck up the left boards two and stopped twice that led to the fourth goal was brutal. Say whatever you want about Hagg, I’ll take Hagg over Braun any day. |

If the Flyers made a Hayes statue and someone just wheeled it around, I don't think there would be any difference ... but the statue would be cheaper than $7M+ per season. - jd250
But, Hayes has had good games these season. Where the F#@% is TK. I don’t remember him scoring this year. At least Hayes provides some good defense when he’s not scoring. |

Sure, he started out in the position of the set play. But, even as you said in another post... once they turned it over, the defense is not moving. On that play Ghost did not react to the play. And, YES, he was quickly out of position by his lack of reaction and inability to read what was going on. |

Here is what I saw.
1. He was actually behind Ghost. He just bust his balls, and Ghost began by tentatively coasting.
2. Ghost was contemptuously brushed aside as though he was not there.
3. Then, Ghost is not in the play at all.
Bad goal by Moose, but Ghost showed very little hustle there or grit there. |

Now you're just making it up as you go along. Gostisbehere had a long way to go from the boards. He could've wrapped the guy up and taken a penalty but he smartly let him go because Prosser was coming over. Jensen just made a great shot.

I give criticism where I think it is appropriate. I don't think it is for Gostisbehere on that play.

How did he catch up with Jensen from where he started on the half boards if he didn't hustle lol.

Haven’t been watching game but I take it’s the same ole same ole?
Can we now just accept this team is not going to make the playoffs and start selling? |

I’m actually surprised we didn’t see that pairing tried next.

In this cap era you have to go on your knees and suck tank for a couple of seasons to get superstar assets. Flyers to proud to do that |
