Everyone seems to be fixated on what has already happened and the Flyers game.
Im focused on the Capitals games and curious to see what happens there with Knoblouch behind the bench for 2 more games. - aecliptic
lol because if the Flyers game never happened you wouldn't even be mentioning what could happen against the Caps. So it kind of is a big deal in all of this |

He still can’t throw to first. |

Since only one assistant coach came up with him, I am guessing they still have a few down there in Hartford who can fill in |

I guess what we wait for is Quinn's return and see how the team plays then. |

If they win both games, Rangers twitter will lose its mind - TPC
There is something to be said about a change behind the bench could change how players play, BUT that doesn't mean it would matter over a larger sample size. I'm sure they are a little looser w/out Quinn on the bench |

You're trying to make wine out of water. It's impossible to say whether or not Knobs has a better influence on the team than Quinn. From what has been reported, the only thing that Knobs is doing (with the help of Drury and the other assistant) is putting lines out there. I don't think Quinn loses his job because of that...
Which begs the question: Are you capable of saying that Quinn did a great job of putting together a game plan for the team and Knoblauch to execute on? All while being in a difficult situation such as covid protocol, no less... |

We dont know what Quinns game plan was. We dont know if Knoblouch made any adjustments or suggestions to the game plan.
As far as Im concerned, the response that Knoblouch gave the media is exactly what is expected to be said to the media.
All we know is Knoblouch was behind the bench for a 9-0 slaying of the Flyers and hes got 2 games against the Caps ahead of him. |

Hartford is playing right now
For those who are wondering…
•Pat Boller (HFD’s AGM) is coaching the #HWP this afternoon.
•In addition, Vincent LoVerde & Jeff Malcolm will be on the bench as well.
•Tarmo Reunanen is playing today.
•Anthony Bitetto is in as well. |

This says all we need to know.
You were presented with evidence stating that Knoblauch followed the plan Quinn laid out. But, you can't stomach that because it doesn't fit your narrative that Quinn is no good, so it's a lie.
You have no facts to support your opinion. None of us know exactly what transpired. But, I have a feeling the minor league coach doesn't get ahead by ignoring the game plan that his superiors in the organization lay out for him. |

And you guys cant stomach the fact that maybe, just maybe, Knoblouch had more of a hand in the win than hes letting on. |

Why would that bother anyone?????
I don't lose a cent if Quinn gets fired. All I would get out of it is the chance to watch my team lose more games while they adjust to new coaches and systems, when we have very little evidence to show that the move might be warranted.
If the team is together and healthy and they still can't play well over a reasonable period of time, then you may have a case.
The only time this team has iced a roster of what they are looking for, our stars were playing WELL below where we know they can be. EVERY ONE OF THEM.
Change for the sake of change is simply impatience. |

If you're looking for us all to agree on your point, that would make things really boring around here. Perhaps a bit of flexibility on all parties is warranted, but I hope you recognize that you're arguing with a fairly rational thought of logic on this one.
I'm not even the biggest Quinn supporter. I've stated on a number of occasions that some of his deficiencies bug me. But it's utterly ridiculous to think that a coach, who had to be called to NYC a few hours before the game, had that much of an influence on how things unfolded yesterday...
Try to take a step back from this, man. Maybe indulge in a vice or something |

Maybe they played for their possibly sick coaches as motivation? I know it sounds corny but could be a possibility. Guys had career years under him in a half season. |
