It has been a very long time since I have seen defense this bad but last night the Flyers looked were really bad!

Also confirmed that David Quinn and his staff will be out for at least two more games.

Knoblauch, Murphy and Drury will coach #NYR for the two games in DC on Friday and Saturday.

i feel like buch has played himself into a core role on this team. Strome is playing really well but is really just an above average role player who is playing himself into a similar or larger payday than Buch. I'd say we try to package him with prospects/picks for a high upside C. The Kings have been mentioned several times as good trade partners due to their abundance of high quality young centers

Lets say, hypothetically, Buch and Kravtsov round out into similar players.

Buch is a free agent this year, granted restricted, and he will get a nice raise and it will likely come with a NMC/NTC of some sort because he sees whats behind him with Kakko and Kravtsov on the team.

Kravtsov is 4 years younger and still on an entry level contract. Scouts and potential say he may be better than Buch and theyre identical in size. We know this kid is a scorer.

Keep in mind, not only does Buch need to get resigned, but so does Chytil, Lindgren and Shesty.

Sure theres a plan, however Knoblouch is the guy behind the bench making the adjustments. The team didnt have DQ micromanaging the lines during the games like he usually does.

The games in DC will be a legit test to see how the team moves forward. If they blow out the Caps like they did the Flyers, we got some serious talking to do about the coaching.

This could be the team overall showing management, hey, were sick of DQ this is how we can play if you give us the right people.

Like I said, the games against the Caps will be telling of how the players respond to Knobouch and Drury behind the bench.

If the Rangers play the Caps and win both games in convincing fashion, it would be ridiculous to turn a blind eye to that and not at least be left wondering wth is going on.

Plus, he didn't go backhand on the breakaway, resulting in a goal. Goalies now know he has this move and can't cheat. If they do, they will get burned.

I noticed this as soon as he scored. To me that is a great sign he is getting back the instinctual hockey. Zib on a run of goals per game?

Yep. Sometimes the simple answer is the correct one.

For anyone that fixes/diagnosis issues on their own cars. The majority of the time, the issue is an obvious and simple explanation. And to start analyzing a problem by going for the most difficult explanation usually is a waste of time.

Maybe things just clicked. Zib on his game, Panarin breadmanning it, Buch clicking with Zib. Kreider not disap...did he play?.

Everyone seems to be fixated on what has already happened and the Flyers game.

Im focused on the Capitals games and curious to see what happens there with Knoblouch behind the bench for 2 more games.
