Why? He'll be 31 in the final year of his new deal. If the Kings are finished with him, they can trade him for the 4th year.

Carter seemed adamant that he wanted to play out his contract in SoCal, so a little surprised he was willing to go to Pittsburgh....guess it looked like a shot at a legitimate Cup run that wasn’t happening in LA anytime soon. Good luck to him.
