back to our regularly scheduled program- there are only a handful of players I would trade K'andre: McDavid, Draisalti, MacKinnon, Mathews, Barkov. - Greschnergy#4
unless we actually get a handful of players
TWO young cost controlled centers and a first rounder or we hang up the phone

I agree- the point I was making is that I am not trading him. He has a chance to be special! Imagine we might have two perennial Norris candidates on our blue line for the foreseeable future - Greschnergy#4
I agree somewhat. But this is also a similar situation to what Nashville found themselves in with Shea Weber and Ryan Suter. Neither of which play there anymore. |

Also thought no way they ever trade Seth Jones...and then that happened |

It's gonna be on your tombstone one day:
Jimbo aka (Jimbro)
Had a great mullet, witnessed multiple Rangers cups, and never would trade a top blue chip defenseman unless you get 2 cost controlled centers and a 1st |

me being an old dude and wise - you are never going to win the trade (Miller) and will regret it for 15 years of him brutalizing the league. Play to your strength and ours will be an all world blue line. We will find center depth

I know the hesitance to trade Miller and I don't want him to go anywhere either. But someone is gonna be going out. |

Fox- Lindgred
Trouba - Miller
Schneider - Jones
I am rolling with that for the next 7 years - trade anyone else |

The problem is, no one in the cap era has really won by doing this. The closest you could think of is maybe the Bruins of 10-11 and that team had way better center depth than you can remember. Before they dumped Seguin.
The closest comparison to a team almost winning with good but not great centers, is probably arguably us.

So you are trading Nils? I mean if you were going to trade someone not currently on roster, by far the most trade value. Chytil + Nils + would move the needle for a ton of teams.

Mika is elite and on some nights it wouldn't be a stretch to call him the best player in the league (for that game). |

I think his trade value is probably almost immeasurable
and then imagine a team like Los Angeles, the marketing opportunities to gain minority fans in that area along with Byfield? potential gold mine for them
that's why I would want TWO cost controlled centers and a first round pick |

He's probably about top ten in the league for sure, but as a group cup winning teams usually have much better 2nd and 3rd C than we currently have.

We don't know what the frank Schenider or Jones is yet lol. I can't say just roll with that for 7 years. |

true but same could be said for Nils and the rest of our D prospects. I would trade Schneider (substitute for Niles) and Jones maybe but like the left / right thing we have. Also prefer to keep Schneider over Nils because of the meanness and skill we would have on the backend
