no way would I deal K'Andre Miller for Jack Eichel
the only thing I'd even consider trading K'Andre for is something where he went to the Kings and I get to hand pick any 3 of their prospects not named Byfield
maybe Kupari, Turcotte and their 2021 first rounder for K'Andre, that's the only kind of deal I'd consider |

I'm not disagreeing that K'Andre is pretty much untouchable but no way he brings in a haul like that. |

I agree with the defense prospects. Pretty soon the Ranger's will need to choose who they want to keep and see as the future of the Rangers. There are too many NHL caliber prospects, with too few spots.
I am not a fan of breaking up the Fox-Lindgren duo. While I believe Fox is in a class of his own at this point, breaking up the duo can have undesired consequences we don't want to even entertain. Also, Miller is too valuable with the way he plays. And, I am a big fan of Schneider's game as what the Rangers absolutely need on the backend. Trading either would be a set back in hoping the others can fill. Too risky.
My guess is the less established players will be possible trade bait in Jones, Lundkvist, Robertson or Reunanen.
Also. LETS GO RANGERS. I probably wont be able to watch this game. |

Just when we think Strome can be the 2C he reminds us how enigmatic he is. After an amazing 11 game streak with points (16), he’s been off the scoresheet 4 of the last 6. Will the real Ryan Strome please stand up? |

I still think all of this "we have too many D men" is all hypothetical.
I just remember about 5 years ago everyone saying that about the Flyers prospects and look how that turned out.
Its nice to think players like Nils, Schnieder, Jones etc will be top 4 caliber NHL d men but until they turn pro and show what they can do, I am not going to worry about who has to leave. Just got to let this process play out and let the players decide who will be here long term. |

Quotes are acting weird. Jim, I like Key alot. He's going to be really good for his career. I'll say this: not necessarily has to be Eichel, but if we could get a center that could potentially put usover the top, I will pack Miller's bags for him. You only get so many cracks at the cup, you have to make a move if an opportunity presents itself.
I really don't want a prospect center in a trade. If our window is wide open now, we need someone established. If it's a prospect we are after, at that point you might as well roll with Chytil. |

Right now I think Buch, Chytl, Howden, Gauthier, Strome, Hajek, Smith are the current roster players they would be willing to move for a trade. Out of the prospects Robertson, Schneider, Jones, would be definitely be included as well |

Regarding Miller.
Just do what Chicago did with Big Buff and put him at forward.
Then they can put another D prospect in. |

I really can't argue with any of this. I remember arguing with Flyers fans about how Sanheim, Myers, and now Provy are all approaching the age where they are going to be about as good as they were going to get and being laughed at.
I think the difference between us and them is while their core looked decent with Niskanen until he retired, Trouba is not going anywhere anytime soon. At this point, we also have to start considering Fox, Lindgren, etc as vets. I don't think it would be hard at all to fill in the blanks if our prospects don't progress as hope.
Not that they important in terms of skill, but guys like Tarmo and Hajek have immense value to us IMO, because they can be good stopgaps.

Going to go out on a limb here and say team signs Buch to a 5-6 year deal. |

I think Buch is best suited as a 3rd line RW for the team. He has turned into arguably the teams best defensive forward. So this is possible if the $ is right |

It's part of the reason when he was hear I said should have tried Tony at Forward. His defensive game was so bad but he could put up points and be physical |

I've laughed at also when suggesting Pacioretty for Sanheim |

Yea that's true.
I was just saying it seems like we hit the jackpot with all of these prospects. But it also wouldn't surprise me if 2 or 3 of them just don't pan out like we hope. So we shouldn't be freaking out about Trouba and possibly having to move Miller. Just got to let the process play out. |

More than likely some of these guys are not going to pan out. Remember when Del Zotto was here? Thought they had a serious piece for years to come. Enter Del Zaster. |

You think so. A big part of his offensive game was seeing the ice from the backend and skating it up. Switch to where he doesn't have that and has to play the wing in the middle of the ice. That may mess his brain up. |

Yea exactly.
It's just why I am not going to panic over having too many good ones and having to worry about moving some to create spots for others. Not all will make it |

This team is so young that players that have been playing for a couple years seem old. Weird perspective created by being the youngest team in the NHL (Devils don't count.....ever) |
