The optics for Green of using Lind now are terrible, mostly because of the way he handled the media earlier. When asked about getting young players in he basically said he was playing to win. Now, putting in Lind with the "I believe he can help the team" BS he looks really bad. If he had just not been his usual smug self, he could have said something like "we're looking at all of our players for this year and beyond. I'm sure we'll see guys like Lind and Rathbone at some point during this stretch..."
And to address Whitey's question from last blog, I think Kruger isn't actually an NHL coach. His background (I believe) is "Coaching", but not coaching coaching, but coaching, as in people. He'd probably be a great assistant GM, or even a president of hockey ops - able to get the most out of people on his team, putting the right people in positions to succeed etc. I'd go Babcock all the way! I mean, if those were your only two options that is.
I will watch tonight's game, because they are playing Lind tonight, as i haven't bothered watching much, if any of the past few games.
I am not sure I would agree that Zacmac isn't needed, the Leafs have been playing chippy, they took 2 head shots last week against the Jets, no suspensions of course and have had a few fights lately.
I would sit Hawryluk or Highmore.

Isn't the reason they're not playing Gadjovich that he is down in the states and would have to quarantine and would count against the limit of call ups post-TDL?
If he's having success in the AHL let him ride it out, there will be plenty of opportunity for him to show what he's got in training camp next year, right now Lind needs to play games.

Lind had to quarantine as well. What’s the difference? Hopefully they protect Gadj and expose Lind. We need someone that can score greasy goals and face punch occasionally

Kind came to Vancouver to see a specialist. They got him here on an injury technicality - he quarantined while on IR, avoided the Covid outbreak and was called up and assigned to the taxi squad with having to quarantine further. That was actually a crafty bit of GMing.
