Foist!
There’s a lot of mental toughness behind the bow tie.

Who needs centers when you have great D?

Interesting catch, Fischer has been a total asset with the Organization for many years.

Hey, J. Waiting for my daughter to compete in her 1st Irish dance competition as a top-tier Open Champion…and catching up with your posts. Anxiety building in prep for North American Nationals the 1st week in July…in Phoenix 🥵🥵🥵🥵

I remember watching Fisher, he & Vladdy would’ve been a beast of a line to play against, huh?!?!? Dude, anyone going against those two would’ve been in ICU by the end of the game. Sad to see both careers cut so short. But, both players moved forward with grace, drive, dignity…and set an incredible example of what to be!! Mo Sides would do well to emulate those 2.

Watching Mo play, the potential to be a 1D definitely exists. He’s in a good place to learn & grow into himself. Honestly, I don’t see him starting in the NHL, he’ll need to re-adjust to smaller ice. I’d say within a month or so, he’ll be up, probably on a line with Staal (if he re-signs…) or Merrill (if he comes back, fingers crossed). Probably hit 15min or so for a while, gradually increasing in time as he grows. He’ll log 20+ by the last 1/4 of the season. Similarities w/Fisher are impressive, but it’s an awful small sample right now. If we’re looking at potential, yeah totally agree!!

Things are looking up, for sure. The good kids keep maturing under the tutelage of guys who genuinely care about how kids grow and develop. We really have an impressive staff, further enhanced by a GM that truly embodies the ethos of being a professional, but more importantly being a Wing. There’s a certain aura or mystique that comes with wearing the Winged Wheel…and guys like Cleary, Fisher, The Captain ensure the honor and respect for The Team and self are engrained in the kids. Detroit’s not really had many selfish players, when you look at it. Those that were, didn’t last long. That’s why being a Wing is truly so special.

Lord how I love that team. The heartbreak, frustration, and joy are so very worth being a fan.

The few North American scrimmages I’ve seen Seider in he looks huge on the smaller ice. Just seems to be comfortable out there. But, if for whatever reason he can’t grab 18 mins or more GR is definitely a good place to grab top minutes.
