How do you know? - Load Management

Just received this from FHA HR:
With the extreme heat wave warning in our region and across many communities in the Pacific Northwest, we have been experiencing prolonged, dangerous and unprecedented high temperatures.
Our emergency response teams are reporting an increase in sudden deaths and our acute sites are seeing extremely high volumes of patients presenting, many with significant heat-related complaints.
We know everyone is tired and looking forward to a break as we move into Step 3 of the COVID restart plan, however this is another historic event that we must all rally together and continue to be strong.
At this time, we must continue to support each other, our residents, patients, families and loved ones. If you are offered a shift to support our teams please accept the offer during this critical time.
Please email us at - bloatedhefty and let us know the following:
1. Which of the following sites are you willing to work at:
a. Surrey Memorial Hospital
b. Burnaby Hospital
c. Abbotsford Hospital
d. Chilliwack General Hospital
e. Royal Columbian Hospital
2. Are you willing and able to work in the Emergency Department (medical-surgical RN or LPN’s needed in addition to ER qualified nurses)
3. What are your available hours between today, June 29th to Monday, July 5th.
We will connect back with all of you in order of priority to offer you shifts in the areas you have responded to.
We can not thank you enough for rising up yet again to support our communities during this extreme heat event.

This heat bomb is pushing our healthcare system to the brink again. Front line staff have been overwhelmed for two years now. Unbelievable.
That is a hell of a memo.

Sad and yes strange but the earth is over four billion years old, I’m sure it’s been this hot before in these parts.
Did you know 150,000 people die every day on earth? - LeftCoaster
Natural Climate change occurs over ions unless there's a cataclysmic event. Last known one was a giant meteor strike that made mammals the dominant species. It took a few thousand years. Now in a couple centuries Human created environmental pollutants are changing things drastically. This is where, for example, snow storms in Texas crippled the state for weeks or a heat wave in BC is causing death and distress.
Humanity is very adaptive. Extreme climates, disease and socio-economic slides. So I guess you think its just Darwinian that not all survive.
So who do you like in the draft? |

Because I don't see Lou/Trotz giving up that Pulock/Pelech top pair, that's the heartbeat of that team imo |

I think they'll trade away a pick/prospect to dump someone before they break up that pair. Trotz loves those guys. |

Something to read…
https://www.thedraftanaly...raft-round-2-picks-32-63/ - Nighthawk
hmmm... which one?
40. Vancouver Canucks: Logan Mailloux, RHD (SK Lejon, HockeyEttan) — Whether they address it with their first pick or do so on Day 2, the Canucks need problem solvers on the back end to take the heat off of Quinn Hughes and provide him with a stronger supporting cast. Mailloux has the size, wheels, shot, and high panic threshold that not only compliment Vancouver’s skill forwards in the possession game but also helps address depth concerns on the right side.
41. Ottawa Senators: Aidan Hreschuk, RHD (U.S U18, NTDP) — The Senators at both the NHL and farm system level have far more playmakers than mashers on the blue line, especially on the right side. Hreschuk can fill either role, as he was the NTDP’s best defenseman on many occasions, especially while partnered with Luke Hughes on the top pairing. He can deliver crunching open-ice hits but also showcase his smooth skating ability while heading up ice. |

Brandt Clarke - Nighthawk
But you've said many times he won't be there at 9OA and go for:
Chaz Lucius, C (U.S. U18, NTDP) — Once considered a potential top-five pick, Lucius dealt with a serious knee injury that caused him to miss most of his draft season. But the future Minnesota Golden Gopher delivered in the goal-scoring department when he was able to dress, potting 13 tallies in 13 games. Only eight of Detroit’s 57 draft picks between 2015 and 2020 were natural centers, so Lucius could be viewed as both the best player available and a blue-chip prospect who also addresses a need.
