There might not be any state tax, but like in Canada, Americans pay income taxes federally, and from an accounting perspective, they only complete 50% of their employment in Florida, so I don’t think the savings are quite as high as you are suggesting. If that were the case, every NHLer playing in Canada would want to play in Alberta…

In addition to Montreal being my 7th least favourite team and Tampa being my 5th least favourite team.

I admire any franchise that builds a great team, not only through drafting, which the Islanders did drafting Potvin, Gillies, Trottier, Bossy, Nystrom, Tonelli, Duane & Brent Sutter, etc., but through trades and free agency.

That 2011 Canucks team was a great build by multiple GM’s including some great draft picks, trades and free agent signings.

Having EP Boeser JTM & Bo with Hughes a pretty good start. Depth can & will improve up front with D still the big problem. In goal is solid. Special teams bottom 1/3.

Fix the problems aka system & team D. Build the D pairings for todays game.
