Didn’t Tampa, Ottawa and San Jose all come into the league at the same time? Too lazy to look. Ottawa built a really great team through the draft in its early years.

Their GM and or scouting staff seems to have found good young pieces when trading away veteran players, like Josh Norris & Chris Tierney, and their drafting has been excellent for years.

Until the off-season is done, I can't say how many teams I think will be worse or better than Vancouver.
After last season, I was one that said they would be a top 10 team, once the off-season was over, I picked the Canucks to come in 6th in the North and got laughed at, kinda like the 1st year I was on here and said the Hurricanes have a nice looking team of young defenders and some promising young guys.
I was horribly wrong about the Canucks, as they finished 7th, below the Senators.

When the Canucks can rid themselves of the collection of overpriced garbage Jim Benning’s collected, hopefully you’ll start to see more and more good draft picks filter in....like Hoglander.

Sadly, in his seven drafts since becoming GM he hasn’t had much luck in the second round and beyond, with exceptions being Demko and now Hoglander.

Benning has only picked 5 times in the 2nd round, 4 of those players have played in at least 1 game, 2 were regulars last season.
