would he pass a physical exam first?
If I'm the Blues I would ask for KK. What does mtl have to offer them? not much
otherwise, maybe mtl first round pick +. - deadpoulet

you would? hum.
Habs have established players, kids, picks and prospects... depends what they want. yes he would need to pass a medical imo. he'd fit very well no doubt. |

irrelevent. the question is what does STL want? - fidopro
That question also depends on how badly Tarasenko wants to leave |

looks like he asked for a trade. we have to think STL would prefer to send him East. |

well, Habs are not trading Suzuki, Romanov or Caufield.
+, Mtl would take a gamble at this point. |

if they feel Poehling is ready, maybe kk could be available. not sure I'd like that. trading a young C for 2 years of Tarasenko...
Drouin + picks and prospects would be better, but STL would probably get a better offer. |

Tarasenko is at 7,5M.
Yes, he has skills but he also missed a lot of hockey last few years and now asked for a trade. He's losing value. |

untill we know what's going with Drouin....yeah.
Poehling is a late bloomer or a bust. Hard to say. Still young I guess. Maybe he needed time like Evans.
Poehling is a player they could ask for. With mtl first round pick.
Not sure if they would take that, but if mtl are about to lose chiarot to Seattle, might as well deal him to the Blues.
Problem is that the Blues have to deal with the Seattle draft as well.

Tarasenko had health issues and wants out. same with Drouin I guess. both have 2 years left on their contract. trade me your problem I'll trade you mine. that would be ideal. |

Tarasenko is a gamble but as far as we know, will play next season.
We just don't know about Drouin situation, everyone is guessing. And it looks bad on the fans, in my opinion. |

I see his case the same as Josh Anderson when we got him. Drouin is more of a mental thing more than anything. If it works out imagine how good our lines will look next year |

could go Hall as well, but it depends of the price.
Again, Blues would need to eat some salary or take a contract back. |

(frank) Hall.
and no with Tatar and Drouin out, STL would not have to eat anything. |

You would not ask them to? Just picks and prospects going the other way?
Then, he may end up here.
But I would rather be patient with KK. |

well, you can always ask them to eat a part of the salary, but that will increase the price you have to pay. my point is Habs have the cap space to take him without STL eating part of his salary.
and yes, patience with kk. if a deal comes up for another young player, the same age, yes he could be available. but for a 27 y/o vet? meh... nope. |

I am really sitting on the fence with KK he looks lost in the regular season but we need him amongst others to get us to the playoffs first |

I don't think I would trade him for two years of an often injuried Tarasenko. That could really bite us in the ass.
If Dunn is coming back? Other story. |

Dunn is ufa, he is a slightly bigger version of Mete better offensively, would much rather go for Ekholm |

so salty
Yes the Leafs suck
But I am sure enjoying this. What a fantastic day.
Keep it up Sergachev and Kucherov, keep pouring salt on the Habs fans wounds. - Santo_44
I think you’re outlook is rather flawed. We enjoyed a playoff run. Got stopped by a juggernaut in the finals. Sort of like the Leafs running into their juggernaut in the Habs.
Enjoy your summer 🙂 |
