Gauthier has been a goal scorer at every level he’s played at and has the draft pedigree and skill to do it at the NHL level as well. A 3rd line with him and Kreider on the wings mixed in with a center of similar size could be a real problem for opposing teams to deal with and could provide us with a big physical checking line that gets in the dirty areas and chips in offensively. Gauthier at 6’4 230 Kreider at 6’3 220 and both have great speed.

As much as I'd kill to get Landy on the Isles, don't think that one is happening without some major shake-up on the roster. Like getting rid of, one way or another, Bailey/Eberle/Leddy and maybe even Beau

Wanting to and understanding that it's unlikely are probably separate ideas. He's not going to bail on COL to go play for someone like the Coyotes just because they pony up some big money.

I still think he ends up in Colorado. The optics wouldn't be too good for Sakic & Co. to lose your captain and one of your better players because you were squabbling over money. That team takes a significant hit if Landy walks in UFA.
