Ek, Habs fans seem to have remarkably short memories. How many times over the past two seasons have their fans tried to run Price out of town? Let me see... "$10M backup"... "Charlie Lindgren is already better than Price"... "Jake Allen is better than Price, trade that washed up bum"... if it wasn't for that (and let's call it what it was) Cinderella Run, the Habs fans would be cheering this move right now. I hope Seattle takes Price and either keeps him or trades him somewhere that he can actually win something. I am zero percent surprised by this move, personally.

Price has won multiple series for the Habs over the years that they had no business winning. And this year he was probably the biggest reason they went as far as they did. You can say what you want about his regular season play the past few years but the Habs have had some pretty bad defense and anemic offense through that time. He finally gets some team defense and offense in front of him this year in the playoffs and look what happens.

If Price played behind an offense like Colorado, Edmonton, or Toronto has or a team with balance offense and defense like Colorado again, or Boston, I think his numbers would be extremely high and he probably would push a team like Colorado to the cup.

At 10.5 he isn't worth it. At 5.25, I think he's very valuable to more than a few teams.
