The real question is, is Price (and his contract) worth anything on the trade market? If so he could be gone. If he is creatively traded amongst a few teams and his contract eaten up in those trades he could be worth lots to Kraken. |

They cant trade him as his NMC kicks back in if Seattle picks him this is the case with most players that have waived there NTC or NMC. |

Dangerous game??? Every Montreal fan is praying Seattle takes him... please please please |

I doubt it. They don’t want the oft injured over priced goalie that has had a good 30 game run in the past 5 years. And they dont want his bat shyt crazy wife. |

Until the past playoff this made sense. But now? |

Ek, Habs fans seem to have remarkably short memories. How many times over the past two seasons have their fans tried to run Price out of town? Let me see... "$10M backup"... "Charlie Lindgren is already better than Price"... "Jake Allen is better than Price, trade that washed up bum"... if it wasn't for that (and let's call it what it was) Cinderella Run, the Habs fans would be cheering this move right now. I hope Seattle takes Price and either keeps him or trades him somewhere that he can actually win something. I am zero percent surprised by this move, personally. |

There is nothing to pick from that team, Allen was the only pick to go with.
Unless they go Kulak or Cale Fleury. Or they know Drouin would play for them. |

A dangerous game? Price makes 10.5 million per year and has 5 years remaining on his contract. He's washed up. There is zero chance Seattle claims him, zero. This is the only good move Bergevin has done in his 10 year tenure. |

If ever there was a way to weaponize cap space.........imagine the haul they could get by picking Price and then trading him for 50% retained if he waives his NMC again. Colorado, Edmonton, and Toronto I'd think would pay heavily for that. |

I'm sure teams will be lining up for a soon-to-be 34 year old goaltender who won 12 games this past season. |

Even at 5.25 mil cap hit Price isn’t worth it. He had one small streak of hot play in the past 5 years now you think teams will give up first round picks plus 5.25 mil of cap space for a 50% retained price? I highly highly doubt it. |

Price's contract is a non-starter. It's a salary cap poison pill. He has no trade value at that price. (pun intended).

Exactly. He's not only salary cap poison, he is poison. There is zero chance Ron Francis wants him anywhere close to his team. |

I'd prefer missing the playoffs than the league having to change its rules two years in a row to make sure my team got in. |

Price had a great run, but at his age and cap hit, it'd be far from catastrophic if he was taken. We want to keep both Price and Allen, and it's very risky for Seattle to take that contract, even with his stellar play these playoffs. |

Ek the expansion draft is Wednesday, NOT two weeks from now. It’s shameful how you never know the facts or what is actually going on. |
