Ben Shelley: Looking at who the Ducks could lose to Seattle

With his old gm running the show, I would be shocked if Seattle took anyone but Fluery.
Why take Henrique via draft at full price, when you can get a deal and reduced cap rate and maybe not even need to give anything back. Like the Islanders didn’t get for trading Ladd.

Of course Fluery will be the pick.

Jake Bean: Drafted 13th overall by Carolina in 2016
Hayden Fleury: Drafted 7th overall by Carolina in 2014

I fully expect these two players to be a big part of the Seattle defensive core moving forward. Not sure either will ever make top pairing status, but they can provide a lot of talent on that left side.

I personally think Josh Mahura is the BPA on the Anaheim list.

I think there's a deal in place with Seattle to pick Henrique or maybe Shattenkirk. Ducks could trade Volkov, Mahura and a pic to make the deal. Three pieces to take Henrique, two for Shattenkirk.
