both Strome's and Buchnevich's names have been leaked out, now lets see if they both get traded

I havent heard a single leak anywhere about any one of their young defensemen being available though

it's still quite possible that the very last thing they are interested in doing is dealing Lundkvist

Agreed. I’d much rather spend that one Horvat and Dvorak than on Eichel. I’m on the stay as far away as possible from Eichel train.

The Senators versatile winger has come into his own in Ottawa and the Rangers could use him within their top six. Last season Brown scored 21 times in 56 games and could potentially reach 30-35 goals in a 82 game season. He's defensively responsible and has the type of work ethic new head coach Gerard Gallant is looking for. Expect the chatter around this deal to pick up once the Kraken select their roster.

39 42 and Nick Paul for Strome. That’s what would make sense to me. Paul has size 6’3 225 and is a late bloomer playing decent the last 2 years. He’s a guy that we could put on the 4th line and move up if needed.

I think the combination of the 4 of those assets could land both of them.

Buch being the key piece for Horvat
The 1st rd pick being the key piece for Dvorak
Strome going for Connor Brown.

Ends up being…
LAF, Zib, Kakko
Panarin, Horvat, Brown
Kreider, Dvorak, Goodrow

There might be a bidding war for Dvorak so we may end up overpaying a bit for him, if we can pull Crouse with him as well, that would be ideal.

Personally I dont have much of an attachment to most of the players. I have a kind of formulaic idea of how I like a team to look. So If we can consolidate some of the pieces weve been fortunate to get to become one of the best teams down the middle as well as tough and gritty, so be it. Unfortunately the financial climate is going to force teams to overpay for good players with good contracts.

The only thing I worry about with Eichel is his injury. All the other stuff doesn't bother me once you put him on a team that's headed in the right direction. Maybe, more than anything, he hates to lose and he'll hit his stride on a competitive, possibly contending team like the Rangers.

A saw a mention of possibly Strome for Josh Norris or Colin White, but White's contract and cap number wouldn't make sense for the Rangers for what he brings. Melnyk won't eat any salary; cap is a different story.

Logan Brown being traded has been floated out enough, that it's either coming from the Sens, the agent, or the family. So I'm assuming he's on the move soon.
