If he gave up a 1st I would be upset, he gave up 2 picks next year. One of them a 7th. World is not on fire. If he uses this cap space to bring in a good player to help us win then it works out.

I highly doubt he does this trade unless he had a plan for what to do with all of that cap space. Just have to wait and see what his plan is.

Agreed. But we didn't RECEIVE that from the Coyotes. We received NOTHING back for Ghost. Not even the proverbial "bag of pucks." Total salary cap dump, great. I like it.

These drafts always have a few twists as players rise or fall because each team has different needs and boards...it's not out of the realm that someone like Lucius could slide 1 or 2 spots.

Last year he could have been had on waivers and nobody wanted him. Flyers we’re trading at a point of weakness here. Why would he now be worth any assets in return?
I think this deal was as best we could hope for.

It's the Jeremy Roenick to SJ again (if true)...which means those future considerations will amount to nothing.

I am happy that we unloaded Ghost and create cap space for another move. I'm just surprised that we got nothing back. That's all. Looking forward to a few more exciting days...
