A very successful full non-draft. Gonna figure out other ways to tame the Cap-Monster! |

I thought we had 12M in cap left. What am I missing?
And not sure how I feel about Pitlick 2.0... Kinda hoping we pass. Although we all know that Fletch isn't done yet. |

Rather bring back Raffl than Pitlick |

How much of the 9.3 million in available cap space is Hart, Sanheim, and a backup goalie going to eat up? |

Neither. Not a fan of recycling players. Just move on. |

Can’t wait to hear how hbgms are gonna rationalize how to get get jake off the team today. Glad cf has ample cap room after the ED to improve the team |

Of course. Time for Fletcher to get creative. Hopefully he has learned from a decade of futility in Minnesota. |

Sanheim will get traded, too. |

I still feel there has to be a deal in place for Jake, why else would that story leak last week that the Flyers want to move on from him? I guess we will find out this afternoon. |

Wouldn't be opposed to that, depending on the return. I kinda moved on from Sanheim after watching him get bulldozed by that smurf Gerbe. |

Yes, but he can't be stupid either, i.e. I want him to make a good hockey trade, not a desperate one. |

Re: Entry Draft
I expect the following players to be selected before the Flyers pick, but for whatever reason they slip to them then it's an easy selection without thinking:
Defense
Power, Hughes, Clarke and Edvinsson
Forward
Beniers, Eklund, Guenther, Johnson and McTavish
Goalie
Wallstedt
That means the following players should be available when the Flyers select:
Lysell (RW)
Lucius (C)
Sillinger (C/LW)
Take who ever is still there.
Now my wish comes in the 2nd round possibly, if the following players are still there at 46 or they can trade up to get them:
Morrow (RHD) or Chibrikov (RW)
Do that and the Flyers get an A grade for the draft.

I like Boucher in the 2nd, he brings the physicality the flyers are missing |

I don't see it happening, but I wouldn't be opposed to Pitlick coming back. Had 8 goals, 12 assists and was a +11 for us. For the money, he is a solid player. I liked the intensity he added to our 4th line. |

Rumors/stories crop up, never come to fruition, and the world moves on. Happens all the time. Just because there were discussions about Jake possibly being moved doesn't mean it's definitely going to happen. Nobody wants him at $8.25M for 3 more years. Period. If CF does find a way to move him (or JVR or Ghost) he will be retaining salary or taking back unwanted salary in the deal and will therefore still not have the cap space necessary to make impactful moves this offseason. |
