ED was a huge letdown in terms of Flyers’ cap relief, however, it could be worse...the Caps screwed the pooch big time. They lost (arguably) their best goalie to SEA, and are left with not enough cap space to resign Ovi and Samsonov.

I would assume the Capitals are betting on trading Kuznetsov to free up that space needed anyway.
If I were a Kraken fan, I’d be hopeful I kept my receipt to return my jersey. - BroadSTmayhem
Not sure why anyone is judging them as of now, there’s going to be plenty of turnover before game 1 all the way in October. We got folks on here saying they like their team because they have grit lol, like they are playing a game tomorrow.
If they are going to trade a 1st this is the draft to do it. I'm not confident that they will utilize the asset correctly anyway. - Glak18
Why would this be the draft to do it? I would think with everything that went on this year there is a much higher chance of a guy slipping to us that we thought would go much earlier.

Wouldn't be opposed to that, depending on the return. I kinda moved on from Sanheim after watching him get bulldozed by that smurf Gerbe. - PLindbergh31
LOL is that what happened?
I sure hope you don't get to serve as a witness at any trials. I bet you have lied under oath so many times there are hundreds of people falsely imprisoned in the system because of your testimony.

The only difference between Vegas and Seattle was that other GMs made bone head moves to help Vegas. The majority of good players selected by Vegas were made because other teams told them to with compensation, way too much compensation. The brilliant part was what McPhee did with that compensation to make the team better.
So it's Seattle's fault other GMs weren't stupid this time?

Flyersbuzz GMs always know better than actual GMs. The ED was last night and already people are saying Seattle is crap, let's pack it up.

You’re judging them as of today like they are playing tomorrow though, there will be deals for them to make throughout the summer.

It's still a weaker draft whether players weren't scouted as much as normal or players didn't get to play as much. It's not just the top of the draft that is weak, the depth is just not as strong as the next two.
