You don't understand nearly as much about sports as you think you do. No team wins a championship without character.
And keep using that word. Seems a bit... odd ...

I don’t mind the drafting of kid. Now let him play elsewhere until he shows he’s ready and the pitchforks have forgave him.
Might not play in the league for a few years.

Hains: I'm Not Being Picky but...
A lot of GMs were wheeling and dealing today on the virtual draft floor while the Habs’ faithful were wishing and hoping to hear the Canadiens had made a move, but the picks went by and the move never came, in the end, Marc Bergevin used his pick…in a surprising manner. - Karine Hains

Craig Button talk about the victim, my question is who made the 1st move? Scandinavian girls are much more open when it comes to sex. Not saying sharing pictures are right it’s definitely not but what are the details - habs88888

Not trying to restart what seemed to be an extremely unproductive argument on here, but just my two cents:
Seems weird to me that, with all the people defending the pick and talking about not letting one criminal act derail this kid’s life, I haven’t really seen anyone talking about how disrespectful this move was towards Mailloux.
I mean, even discounting the victim’s feelings (which an alarming number of posters seem determined to do), it was a tone deaf pick, and sends a bad message about hockey culture in general. But then on top of that, the Habs managed to go in the exact opposite direction of what the player himself requested. They’ve brought the fury of a major hockey market and lots of viewers league-wide onto themselves and their pick, and at the same time, managed to tell a prospect that they care more about what he can give the team than his comfort or emotional well-being.
I really can’t think of a pick in my lifetime that was more thoroughly ill-conceived than this.
Anyway, good luck with your remaining picks. I’m generally supportive of this team and feel for fans who were hoping to enjoy a draft without having to deal with moral complexity. |

With every passing pick he just became better and better value. Someone was going to take him

Whatver people may say, it is done. The pick is in. The outcome of this will be interesting because it can fall on either side of the spectrum with very little in the middle. On one side, he can return to the minors, work on his game, weather the poopstorm he thrust himself into and become a better human being in the process. On the other side of things he could get into more trouble or something could surface about another incident etc resulting in a rain of humiliation on the habs that they'll have to chalk it up to a wasted pick when other quality players were available. His opponent just served on game point and now the ball is in his court, in a big way. His leash is short as some others have said and he will get no 3rd chance if indeed we accept he gets a 2nd one. Was it worth the risk for the habs? Only time will tell |

You should take an ice pick, stick it about 5-6 inches deep into your ear and dig around. It’ll make you smarter. |
